Hi everyone im new here. A bit about myself well i have been doing sw for 15 months and lost 7 stone in this time. Im very pleased with this but my dillemma. I never have consistant weight loss ever. Its like one day of the month ill lose eg 7lbs like last week and this week ill gain 3lb which happened. ive stayed on plan and done everything correctly and shown food diarys to my consultant. I think its carbs which are doing this and going to try to cut them out for a whole week and do sp. Anyone else find with sw you yoyo. Ive seen doctors for blood tests and im healthy so it is not that.

First off well done on an amazing loss!

I'm on week 6, weighed in today and maintained but I stuck to plan 100% and don't eat crap like mugshots etc, in fact I've not even had rice or pasta instead I use veg. I think our bodies are just fickle and the slightest little thing can make throw it out of balance. For instance I've been using syns this week on a couple of small bags of popcorn each day and I'm wondering if my body just doesn't like the sugar in it.

We just need to stick with it and try to keep motivated. It's still early days for me but I know how frustrating it gets after a length of time, I've done it so many times now.

Hi, I think it's better to look at your weight loss over a month rather than weekly and that might give you a better picture. Also, your weight can fluctuate throughout the month.

You are doing amazingly well, congratulations :)

I always gain 2-3lb for the day after simple carbs. I will have some early in the week but not the day before weigh in as it does affect the scales. Others look over a longer period and are less worried but I'm a slow and steady loser so liked having a fair reflection on the scales each week.
Not everyone is affected the same but I retain water after pasta, bread or sugar x
