SW in pregnancy?

Just wondering if anyone has continued following the slimming world plan once they discovered they were pregnant?

I'm really enjoying being on the plan and I've told my consultant who's happy for me to continue with a few tweaks made. My last pregnancy was extremely unhealthy and I do not want a repeat of that. I gained around 3-4 stone and was totally addicted to sugar.

So I guess my question is have any of you ladies managed to control weight gain during pregnancy by sticking with SW?

I knew some one who did. Think she gained about 2st over all but her first weigh in post baby only meant she had a few pounds to lose to get back to where she was.

There is a woman I'm my group who joined when she fell pregnant and lost 3 stones whilst pregnant, and once baby was born it was 4 stones.

I don't see why you couldn't follow it assuming you still have weight to lose it's probably advisable. Eat more if you need to but stay on plan?

I know you get extra healthy extras (2 of each?) and more HEXA's if breastfeeding.

Thanks Groovee

BasinHaircut this has given me hope!! I have around 3-4 stones to lose (im around 13 stone and only 5'1), I read a success story on the slimming world website where this lady had managed to stick to the plan and whilst her bump was growing she found her arms/legs/face getting slimmer, she had a healthy pregnancy and managed to lose the remainder once she had given birth and got back to group. All I want is a healthy pregnancy that doesn't put my baby at risk.

It's basically a healthy eating plan, so don't see why not. I believe you would get additional HEXs as you would need more calcium etc. And follow pregnancy guidelines over and above SW.

hi op i recently had my booking in appointment. fell pregnant with high bmi. they actually recommend it and if your local sw accepts, they can recommend 12 free sessions or mine could anyway so they definitely support sw in pregnancy.
