I am getting nervous about my first Weigh In tomorrow morning. Hoping for at least 4lbs.

Really tried today despite being at a conference and lunch provided.

I had a 'protein pot' from M&S, I was so hungry when I got to the train station - I thought I was going to pass out!. I was salivating at the delicious sandwiches and pastas, I didn't cave though..

L - 2 pieces of falafel which I'm guessing were about 3 syns, tabouli salad (which I didn't eat, it was so dry) and rocket, no dressing. I left the brownie and had an apple.

2 syns for sugar in brews.

2 syns for a segment of Terry's chocolate orange. It was 3pm and I needed the boost.

I got home about 7pm and had 2 x wholemeal 400g bread with half a tin of chilli flavoured baked beans. 1 syn for marg.

13 syns in total. I feel like I've used all my syns early today. Normally I try and save some for a Freddo. I was out of the house for 12 hours so I guess I've done alright to keep within syns.

welcome all newbies 😊

Hello :-)

I hope you don't mind if I lurk and occasionally chip in.

I've had an incredibly stressful and emotional week coming to terms with how much I weighed at my first meeting (started a thread in Chat).

I have just completed my first week and lost 6.5lb. Very pleased and hope it continues.

Hello!

Major disaster with tea! Dh had put the chicken in MIL's freezer as ours wasn't working.

So kids and dh got mac cheese. Was an omen as the cornflour fell out the cupboard! I boiled up rice, broccoli and carrot with a veg oxo. Wilted spinach and got some seafood sticks that I bought to snack on. Meal was saved.

Evening All,

Thanks for the new thread Lemony. I've been quiet all week but I have been reading and am inspired by all of your losses on here. I've been down after my wee loss last week. I know it's silly and a loss is a loss but it has thrown me and shaken my confidence a little that I'm done by things right.
I'm weighing in tomorrow. Hoping for a good loss to get me back on track. I've been on plan all week but feel like I've lost my mojo a bit with SW. Anyway, it's my friend's 40th tomorrow so we are squeezing in an early weigh in and then going out to lunch to celebrate. I aim to be sensible!

Think I've stayed on plan today. Dinner out was steak, honey and mustard roasted root veg and watercress so even got my speed!

God knows how much honey, mustard and oil was on the veg but I had 10 syns to play with so I'm hoping I'm ok.

Well done on today's losses!

On plan here today. WI tomorrow......

It's my first weigh in tomorrow and I am both excited and nervous - I've followed the plan faithfully, so how much might I expect to lose?

Report
SpaghettiMeatballs · 19/01/2017 07:35

Lost 1/2 lb so 4.5lb in total. Really wish I could have a dramatic loss week. I think it's going to be slow going for me.

I have had a night out this week though and the odd moment off plan so I'm not going to be disappointed. Nothing planned for the next week so I'm going to be completely focused.

1st 10lb to go....

Report
SpaghettiMeatballs · 19/01/2017 07:37

In answer to chatel I think it might depend on how much you have to lose but some people see fantastic results in their first week.

Report
FaithAgain · 19/01/2017 08:01

It depends on such a variety of factors chatel, it's very difficult to predict! Most people lose a couple of pounds though. I had 3 stone to lose (BMI was 32) and I lost 5lb.

Hellloooooooo! It's been a while - I see lots of new faces and still recognise some too, which is fab! Smile

So...after getting to my target in September (5 stone lost) i changed my target this week and got my 5.5 stone award on Tues - definitely stopping here!

I became a consultant at the start of Jan too! Tonight will be my third group and I'm loving it...last week's weigh in (the first "proper" weigh in) saw my members losing 8.5 stone in total in their first week...eek! I have a group of about 45 people and they're all amazing Smile

Stick in there guys...would love to hear updates from those of you I've chatted to before! xx

Hi all,

Had my first WI yesterday. Weighed in at 13t13 - considering how superstitious I am I was not pleased! I feel like it's a sign that I need to change. Currently eating my bran flakes for breakfast and have a Tesco delivery tonight with lots of SW friendly stuff. First time of doing this so I'm interested to see how it goes - it sounds very manageable but my big problem is emotional eating. Some brilliant losses here which are v inspirational so I will try and check in regularly

Morning all and welcome new people.

Plan for today

B. Coffee
L. Salad or soup
T. Lasagne and salad. So will probably have soup for lunch then. Will try quark as a white sauce substitute and see how we go.

Who else on here uses MFP. I have started this last week logging things down and am quite surprised by how few calories I am having despite eating lots. Less than a 1000 generally which makes it tell me off for not eating enough. I never have breakfast but have generally speaking either salad, eggs in some form or salad for lunch, a proper tea done the sw way with substitutions and then my B choice in hifi bars or museli.

Does anyone know the current thoughts on weight loss and less than 1000 cals? I don't need the extra so don't want to eat for the sake of it but don't want to have a slower loss because I am not eating enough.

Sigh. Weight loss has such conflicting information. Common sense says fewer calories equals bigger losses. But I generally loses 1lb a week and have done for over 6 months apart from Christmas where I piled 9lbs on.

Frouby I couldn't get on with MFP, but that was probably because it always told me I'd eaten too much Grin

I don't know, yeah common sense says eat less lose more - and certainly those Cambridge diet/lighter life yokes certainly stay below 1000cals a day and usually lead to completely unsustainable quick losses.

I think the reality is it's not an exact science and we are all different!

Emily! I was wondering where you were! Congratulations, you are amazing and I bet you make a great consultant. Can I ask a question though? Do you find the prescribed meeting format stifling or can you do your own thing? You seem like you would be able to give some great advice but the format of my meeting doesn't really allow for any meaningful advice to be given and a lot of the people there don't seem to understand or follow the plan much at all.

Hi Mmmm and basin! waves I'm enjoying it so much...permanently shattered and it really gets to me if a new member gains/maintains but I'm hoping it'll get easier over time!

There are certain things where we have to follow the set format, but I always try and open things up...so tonight the raffle prize is a load of stuff to make SW chips - a chip mesh, potatoes, frylight, loads of seasonings - so before I start image therapy I'll ask people for tips on making SW chips and the best way. Last week I did something that worked really well - made notes on my tablet for members who had posted something on our closed FB page that the whole group could benefit from and got everyone to talk about it - like one girl who labelled the contents of her fridge with syn values so she didn't have to keep checking! Stops it from getting too samey...well I hope it will at least! Grin
