Hi all

I'm on the first week back & trying to lose my embarrassing enormous gain over Christmas. I'm after ideas for snacks & meals that are speedy. I'm happy not to eat things that 'go' together-e.g. just had a pice of smoked fish with veggie fried rice & mayflower curry sauce-first time making the curry & it's just like Chinese curry, yum!

Also like pickled onions, beetroot, sugar snap peas & other fruit & veg for snacks. Addicted to the mint hifi bars too.

Tried a poached egg by a tip from class this week which turned out great-boil kettle, almost fill a mug with boiling water, crack egg into it, cover with a saucer & microwave for 50 seconds. It was great! But what can I have with a poached egg that isn't toast?

Please share your ideas

I've made my husband the crustless quiche to snack on.

I quite like wafer thin ham, with radish, cucumber and pickled onions and if needing my HEA add either baby bel lights or I wrap the laughing cow lights in the turkey slices.

I like the sunbites sweet and salty popcorn as an alternative to crisps.

I also the other day had a mug shot chicken and sweet corn flavour as it's free with gherkins pickled onions and cucumber as my lunch.

My favourite recipe so far has been paprika pork. It was so good.

I also make up little fruit pots to eat if I want and have natural fat free yoghurt which is nice with my fruit.

Yes, mugshots are a good quick one. I also like the jelly made with a smooth muller light so it mousse like. 0% Total Greek yogurt is a real treat with chopped fruit & a little drizzled honey. My Sainsburys had None last week due to supply issues Shock

Try sweet potato toast. Pinterest and google it. Yummy.

I have poached eggs on spinach - zapped in the microwave for about 4 minutes from frozen. I know spinach isn't to everyone's taste but I like it!

Ooh I'll try the spinach-I've been loving sprouts-roasted for 20 mins & seasoned, yum! Also a lot of kale-wok fried with ginger, soy & lime-delicious!
