I'm on it 100%!

Have 3 stone to lose, aiming for 1lb a week so all going well I'll be there by September

Have lost 1 stone 8 so far but haven't been motivated recently but I'm completely in the right frame of mind now and I'm going to do it

I've ordered 2 new sw cook books (curry one & fakeaway) and bought the 12 week journal so I've got some new ideas to try

Just weighed my healthy extras which is something I haven't done in months.

Today's plan
A - milk in coffee/cereal
B- wholemeal bread

Breakfast - scrambled eggs on toast
Lunch - tuna jacket & salad (2 syns Mayo)
Dinner - porky light sausages (1), mash, veg, bisto (2)

Hi there,
I need to lose about 3 stone too. Had a miscarriage 3 months ago and my BMI is 32 so looking at losing 2 stone then trying to have a baby again. I've given up alcohol now for next 3 months. Very hungover this morning but hubby is cooking a yummy slimming world fry up. My group will start on Thursday. Have made a big batch of slimming world friendly chicken and sweet potato curry and some dal.
Going to be 100% from tomorrow - have some left over Xmas stuff to eat today.
Can I buddy you please?

haven't been motivated recently

Welcome to the Mumsnet Weight Loss Support Group

Yes I'd love a buddy!!! Ive had a sw ready meal curry tonight as realised potatoes for lunch and tea is a bit too much.

I'm going to go to Iceland tomorrow to get s few meals for standbys as I've run out

I'm debating buying a soup maker as well as I like soup for lunch but find making it a challenge as I have a toddler so can't leave things to simmer on the hob unless I'm stood there

Do you go to a group? Mines on a Tuesday morning

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH Sun 01-Jan-17 18:58:54

I've been off plan a year (pregnancy, illness, laziness and 4st weight gain😳) going to group tomorrow am and determined to stick too it! Been referred for WLSurgery so it's my last chance of trying myself.

lostlalaloopsy Sun 01-Jan-17 20:54:32

Can I join please? I need to lose about 3 stone - I'm too scared to step on the scales to get the exact amount sad

I have lost weight on SW before and have never kept it off. But now I am the biggest I have ever been and need to do something about it.

Oly5 Sun 01-Jan-17 21:01:02

I started SW today after falling off the wagon. Have 2st to lose. We can do this! Weighed in today at 12st7

fraggle84 Sun 01-Jan-17 21:08:56

We definitely can!!

Has anyone planned Tomorrow yet? I'm having a lie in (9am 😀!) then we're going to Iceland and might pop to currys for a soup maker

Food plan is
Brekkie - sw fry up so porky lights sausages (0.5 syns each), eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms
Lunch - speed soup
Dinner - meatballs & pasta (6syns in sauce)

A - 1/2 milk in coffee and 1/2 low fat cheddar
B - hi fi bar or toast with fry up

Can I join too? I want to lose two stone, I REALLY REALLY want to. I've dug out my old slimming world books and am going shopping tomorrow...funny that whilst looking through slimming world books and mag I managed to eat a whole chocolate orange (it had to go!). Is it one healthy extra from a and one from b nowadays?

fraggle84 Sun 01-Jan-17 21:52:14

Yes 1 A and 1 B

The list of Bs have changed for cereals though so have a look at this photo with them on

Also sweetener is synned in excess but ok in tea/coffee

Fatloser Sun 01-Jan-17 21:59:29

Thanks for that xx. Am so going to do this tomorrow. I struggle most with what to have for breakfast. I leave for work at 7 and really struggle to force down breakfast. If I have cereal it feels like a waste of Healthy Extras. I tend to prefer sweet breakfasts...are muller light yoghurts still free?

fraggle84 Sun 01-Jan-17 22:10:50

Yeah the normal ones are but some goodies, chocolate and Greek ones are synned. If your on Facebook join syns allowed it's great for checking syns

For breakfast when I don't have time I tend to have a cereal bar then have some soup mid morning

Fatloser Sun 01-Jan-17 22:19:53

Thanks. Am going to cook for the freezer tomorrow, lasagne and chicken pie and am going to eat creamy chicken pasta for my tea. Good idea re cereal bars, which do you buy?

Wallabyone Sun 01-Jan-17 22:30:49

Good luck everyone. I'm a target member, lost two stone about 18 months ago and about 7lbs have crept back on so will be joining you.

Fatloser Sun 01-Jan-17 22:33:46

Wow! Two stone is what I'm after. I can't have another year whinging to myself about not being slim as I'd like. I dream of being able to wear whatever I like without having to cover up with a cardigan or baggy sweater! We can do it 🐷.

Freeurmind Sun 01-Jan-17 22:39:01

Hi can I join too?
I need to lose 2 stone and started last week.
I'm fine with food but really struggling with hot drinks.
I use all my syns on the sugar that goes in my tea, I am a chain drinker and I don't like the taste of sweetener.
I'm also struggling when I go out as I love going to coffee shops.
I'm also a bit of a self-saboteur for some reason.

NotStoppedAllDay Mon 02-Jan-17 00:14:21

I have lost 1 1/2 stone in the ten weeks I've been at sw

Somehow put on 7lbs over xmas!!!

Back on it now. 3 stone to lose if poss

Thingymaboob Mon 02-Jan-17 00:24:56

Best quick breakfast is hard boiled eggs.
Tomorrow I'm having
Eggs on sweet potato toast
Sandwich with cheese and tuna
Dal with rice

Fatloser Mon 02-Jan-17 07:50:17

Ok, here goes...first day weigh in 11stone 4 and a tiny bit. I want to weigh 9 and a half so have a way to go. I'm on it!!

fraggle84 Mon 02-Jan-17 08:28:30

I use a few different cereal bars - hi fi ones from group, Alpen lights, Tesco healthy living and Aldi ones

The sw ones at group are def my fav though, more of a chocolate fix then a cereal bar

fraggle84 Mon 02-Jan-17 08:30:58

Freeurmind have you tried the half spoon sugar instead of normal?

I completely agree with you about sweetener in tea tasting awful, I can have it in coffee but not tea.

Another thing might be to try s different milk that's naturally sweet in it? We have koko milk which is coconut as dd has s milk allergy and that's definitely sweetener but isn't creamy. Others in my group buy almond milk

Freeurmind Mon 02-Jan-17 14:52:14

I'm gonna look for that thanks.

I can have coffee without sugar so I am trying to have more coffee instead, but I just love tea.

Beckyr86 Mon 02-Jan-17 18:30:58

hi, i have just started today too so hope it's ok to join the thread, had my weigh in 11stone5 and a half, ideally want get down to 10 but 11 stone is my goal for now, today I've had
2 wholemeal slices of toast topped with 2 dairy lea and tomatoes
homemade carrot and lentil soup
mushroom stroganoff (sort of, I just threw things in the pan but tasted good) with rice 2syns for half fat crème fraiche
also been snacking on strawberries and cherries all day and plan to have a small treat later to use my syns.
i'd love a buddy if anyone is interested, i'm not a vegetarian but I rarely eat meat.
good luck to everyone

fraggle84 Mon 02-Jan-17 18:32:49

How did you make the stroganoff? I love mushrooms!

Beckyr86 Mon 02-Jan-17 18:46:21

it probably wasn't stroganoff to be fair but it was really nice.

I fried 200g of mushrooms with a handful of chopped leeks, once they started to sweat I added 1 tsp paprika, a good pinch of chili powder, a good pinch of mustard powder and half a chicken stock pot, let them cook for a few more minutes then added 2 tbsp. of half fat crème fraiche (2syns) served with rice
