New starter confusion - how many syns do I get daily?

I joined this morning but didn't get told how many syns I could have per day. I've been looking for info on how to calculate it but I can't seem to find it!

Can anyone help before I give myself an excuse to throw the towel in already please!

5-15 per day is standard.

So quite a big difference then! Was my leader supposed to tell me or can I work it out myself? The meeting was quite a shambles so it may be something that was missed accidentally.

It should tell you in the booklet/pack they gave you when you signed up. 5-15 per day

Sorry, I didn't explain well.

You should have a minimum of 5 syns each day, and a maximum of 15. That means you might have 5, then 8, then 7, then 12 etc as your week progresses. It's not a set number. The minimum is there to make sure you aren't restricting yourself to the point of having a massive blow out one day because 'you can't even have one little piece of chocolate'.

For those who have a lot of lose (eg 10+ st) they may start on a 20 syn allowance. But that's rare from what I understand.

Your consultant should have gone over this with you!

I started today. The book says something along the lines of "your consultant will help you calculate how many syns per day is right for you". I asked and she said it's not set but between 5 and 15 but that she sticks to no more than 12 or finds she doesn't lose. Then all the others started saying about saving them up for the weekend etc and she just sort of grimaced and said well some people do that but it really should be daily. I'd been there 1.5 hours by then so wasn't sticking around to query it further!
