Did you start with a bang or a whimper?

Did you really go for it from day one or try and get your head round it slowly!

I was thinking I'd ease into it, but after going to first meeting, was keen to get started, so kind of went for it from start.

I went for it and got results. A year on and I'm not as strict and realistically just maintaining

First week was a bit rubbish as I wasn't willing to just chuck away food I'd already bought. I was on day 4 of my first week before I was on track. Been going 4 months and lost just over a stone. I've not had one week where I've been on plan 100% either. I'm in it for the long haul and would much rather lose the weight slowly.

It was a couple of days before I could go and do a proper food shop but didn't want to eat the 'wrong' things so ended up pretty hungry!! I couldn't weigh in for 2 weeks but lost 7lbs in that first 2 weeks.

Week one was 6 1/2 lb off, and 8lb for DH, but we were both morbidly obese on 31 May when we started. DH is an all or nothing kinda guy, and he cooks in our house, cause he gets home first.

Tomorrow is week 15, I think, and I'm really hoping for my 2st award - was only a pound off last week, but I was consoled by moving to a new stone bracket - from 16 to 15.

DH got his 4st award last week, so he's 21st now, and doing so so well. The members that stay to IMAGE therapy at our group are completely in love with him because he's always full of ideas, and because he's so charming, and they've seen what he's lost, there is no "gender" embarrassment, that you sometimes get in a mixed group.
