Hi. I joined sw and lost a stone then left as was tricky with young baby. I joined a great group about 4 weeks ago and was really keen. Last weigh in I have so far lost 6 pounds. Prob is that this week I have a bit bored and just want to eat normally as such. I eat loads of fruit and veg and no whats bad for me. For instance today we were out at lunch and I really didnt want to spend money on another jp with beans and ordered a tuna pannini. I then had an ice cream. I dont do this all the time and no its bad for me...but surely we have to live? Does anyone else have a similar problem to me or is sw not for me? Thanks x

Well.....neither you want to loose weight or you want to eat ice cream. You can't do both.

SW works if you're serious about changing bad habits. Like eating ice cream.

SnowWhite, it's fine to go out and have something "off plan" sometimes, as long as it doesn't lead to a loss of control.
Have a look at some new recipes and meal ideas to prevent boredom: the SW website and magazines are good for ideas.

Doing.. I know what you are saying but I have stoped the ice cream habit as such. I used to eat it every day now once or twice a week. Do you go out and happierly order a jp beans that u can make at home and not want to order some other exciting things.
Chough.... Thanks. I just feel that I am a but useless at 100 percent sticking to it :(

SnowWhite, I think you are being too hard on yourself.
You've kept off the weight you lost previously, and you've lost six pounds in four weeks: they are good achievements.
This despite not keeping 100% to plan: sounds like you seem to be getting away with it!
Enjoy the SW plan and stop worrying!
We need to enjoy life as well.

I lost three stone on SW and put it back on due to health reasons/treatment

I felt exactly the same - if I was out paying for food I wanted to choose something I wanted and not something I could easily have at home.

I am considering rejoining because I feel like a hippo but I now have an appreciation that life is waaaaay too short to not eat the sodding ice cream! My problem is I don't have the odd treat, it's daily and I am a massive sugar addict.

Rambling now, just wanted to let you know I understand where you are coming from!

Snow White, totally know where you are coming from, im tending not to eat out at the moment, I went to costa with a friend, thinking there would be something healthy and veggie, but no. Ended up ordering a focaccia, which was lovely, but over 20 Syns, so had to adjust my food for the rest of the day and next, to accommodate.
Planning helps me, and trying to keep my meals syn free, so I can have treats later in the day.

Ive been doing SW for 4 months now and lost just over a stone. I've never been 100% on plan, I usually have one 'off' day a week. But I also excercise 2-3 times a week. If we eat out or have a takeaway I'm 100% on plan the next 2-3 days. I also rarely use my daily syn allowance so it balances out a bit.

I am doing sw atm. I have lost a stone and a half in about 3 months. I have been struggling with the school holidays the last few weeks as we have been out and about a lot.

But I have still lost weight, just more slowly that I would like.

And even not in the holidays we always have takeaway on a Friday. I chose what I want as a main then compromise with boiled rice and no bread or fatty starters.

It depends how quickly you want to lose the weight. I am happy with 1lb a week. And having the odd treat.

It's when treats aren't a treat but a regular part of your diet that you will really struggle.
