I'm almost 7 weeks and have lost 2.5st since May. I have a LOT to lose and am determined to keep going during pregnancy as I want my child to have to best mum possible.

I'm talking to my consultant tomorrow morning about it all so not sure what to expect

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and joined SW two weeks ago this Wednesday after a spell in hospital - not directly weight related but still gave me pause for thought. Consultant was lovely and I've had the pregnancy leaflet and form for the midwife. I have a lot of weight to lose, and despite having my son's second birthday during the first week I lost 3lb. Enjoying the plan so far.

Good luck with your membership xx

Oh and my MW has never once looked at my weight, apart from at booking in! They monitor the baby to make sure he/she is growing well but I don't think they mind much what you weigh as long as baby is ok.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I've been back at SW since I was 10 weeks. Really enjoying the plan and have gained weight perfectly within the guidelines so far. I was a healthy weight pre pregnancy but started gaining too much initially so my midwife approved me to start at my old group again.

The leaflets sound quite strict but in reality I've only had my booklet signed twice. My consultant has never asked to see it. If I have a significant loss in one week my consultant will ask if baby is ok and doesn't focus on the loss per se- they just make sure you're happy with how things are going.

How are you finding the plan so far? Is this your first time on SW?

I'm going to try and continue for as long as I can. I'm not at target yet and my bmi is slightly over the 30 they like so I'm trying to get it below! But my taste for carbs might do the opposite.
I'm allowed an extra he A and B which has made a massive difference and still have lost weight.
They give u a form to take to ur MW and she basically says if you can keep going or not. Then consultant keeps an eye on urgent weight loss/gain and the form keeps being shown to the MW and she keeps an eye on u too
Hope that helps!

Hi, I am also 10 weeks...well 11 weeks tomorrow and I have also been doing slimming world since January! I'm struggling sticking to plan as I feel sick all day every day and really gone off anything healthy! Ive managed to stay in target range but I'm at the top of that range now, I've not told my consultant yet as I wanted to wait to my scan but I didn't go this week as I just feel like I might become a bit too obsessed with what I weigh when pregnant so thought its best to stop, but if you say your consultant was really helpful maybe I should continue?? If you don't mind me asking what advice did she give you?? And do you have to pay when you inevitably come out of target range?? Sorry for all the questions, hopefully someone can help? X

I think there is a recommendation or support for slimming world through the Royal college of midwives or a similar organisation which is a reassurance. I think you can have more healthy extras too which is always a bonus!
Congratulations on your pregnancy and well done on keeping up with SW! flowers

Hi all was just after some advice/experience if anyone's continued slimming world while pregnant?
I'm still only 10 weeks so not told many people but my consultant has been lovely and given me lots of advice. Iv been at sw since January and really enjoyed it and have lost alot of weight. My bmi is still 32 thou which the midwife said wasn't ideal would rather it under 30 but better then what it would have been!! Just after some other advice really. Thankyou
