I'm calzone......realise the name doesn't help! 😂

I've lost 3 stone to date and lowered my target.

Am off to Italy in 2 weeks where I will probably regain a lot of the weight but as someone said, 'you don't go to Italy to eat lettuce!'

Calzone...you've got to enjoy holidays though, no fun otherwise! And you've been amazing, so sure you'll get any gain off in no time!

Hi Han! How you finding SW so far?

I've found you! Not too difficult to find the thread though Grin

Welcome han :)

calzone I expect you to eat your NN at least once when away. Where are you going?

Calzone, you look amazing!!! Hope you have a lovely time in Italy.

I have only been doing this a few weeks but have lost 4lb and have sneaked into the 10 stone bracket and back into size 10 clothes. My goal at the moment is 10 stone and will see how I am before possibly lowering my goal. I need smaller goals or I get disheartened!!

I didn't lose anything this week but everything is feeling looser.
Quick question, lunch today was lettuce, tomato, chillis, apple, fat free cottage cheese, nectarine, and a handful of raspberries and blueberries with a fat free yogurt. Is this too much fruit?

Long time lurker on the previous threads but I've not said hello. Losing a bit of my momentum at the moment, I have lost 4 1/2 stone so far, still at least another stone to go. This is definitely the hardest part, I'm going back to basics for total focus over the next 4 weeks to lose a bit more (going to have to try and just maintain for Sept due to crazy work time schedule that month) wanted to say thanks to you all,you are inspiring.

Place marking :) love checking this thread on my commute.

Have been having scrambled eggs on small toast ( HEX B) everyday

Lunch is microwave rice, chicken and gherkins. I look forward to that every morning Grin

Last night I had an epic salad! Chicken, bacon, lettuce, spinach, beansprouts, gherkin, spring onion and some garlic new potatoes

Tonight will probably be a stir fry!

Made the decision to lower my target...originally set it at 10 stone, going to aim for 9 stone 9. Would be a 5 stone total loss, with 12lb to go to target (10 and a half stone on the dot as of today). I just don't feel comfortable where I am at the moment...

Well I put on 1lb this week, I'm so annoyed! My first gain in 14 weeks but I'd just changed my target - still a long way off but I lowered it by 1st last week after deciding I wanted to be in the 10st bracket!
I was out for tea last night so I'm blaming that, despite being relatively good in my
Choices!
I'm actually surprised at how annoyed I am, think it was worse as the weighing lady kind of whispered it to me with a sympathetic head tilt and pitying smile!
Never mind new week and I blooming better get at least 2lb off next Tuesday!

Oooh, a shiny new thread. Thanks calzone

I have lost 3 stone on this current SW journey (over the past year) and have about another stone to go to target. I lose on average 3 lbs a month but it's really steady. I hope to be at target by Christmas.

I have done SW four times in the past - the first time was so long ago that syns were still spelled sIns. I much prefer EE to red and green days but I do miss the second HEA! Due to having ME and EDS (among a few other TLA diagnoses) I don't do much in the way of exercise but over the past year have stopped needing a wheelchair for long distances, crutches for shorter distances and managed a week in Cologne doing over 15000 steps on all but one day (and on that day I spent 4 hours at a spa and still managed 10000 steps). I've gone from c 40 tablets a day to 5, most of which are vitamin supplements (chronically low vitamin D and folate levels)

The attached picture is me on holiday 8 years ago vs me on holiday this week (there was a fire alarm when I'd just started my breakfast so took it outside with me...there is a mug of coffee sitting in a plant pot!). I am about 6 stone lighter than I was in the top picture. Friends I was on holiday with this week didn't believe that it was me!

Wow Em!!!!! What an amazing transformation!! Such an impressive list of health benefits too, really think you should be in the SW magazine!

If we're sharing progress pics, I'll jump on the bandwagon! Just come back from holiday and felt the most confident I have in years - the pic on the left is from our last Cyprus holiday (2 years ago), the pic on the right's from last week.

When I started SW in Jan I was heavier than the pic on the left - 14st 9lb, with a bmi that classed me as obese at 5'6. As of this morning, I'm 10st 7lb - a 4st 2lb loss since the start of the year. 12lb to target...

The health benefits have been brilliant. I used to take omeprazole for gastro oesophageal reflux disease - I've not taken it in months now. I have so much more energy, and I'm finding even things like walking get me out of breath far less. Basically, I'm a hell of a lot happier - despite some skin on my thighs that seems a little loose!

Hello all.

Wow. How hot has it been? Luckily I don't eat a lot when it is hot so hoping for a loss this week despite 2 takeaways and a meal out due to dds birthday celebrations. And with the weather being good and dd being off school we have spent a lot of time at the ponies so lots of body magic.

B. Coffee
L. Salad and ff cottage cheese
T. Bbq. I had 2 little minted lamb kebab things and 2 chicken thighs with skin off and a fuck ton of salad.

I have also had 2 pimms and a g and t! But I did have plenty of speed in the pimms lol.

Gosh so much to comment on but I'm on my phone so apols if I miss anyone.

Itmustbemyage welcome and well done for delurking! Keep it up and keep posting. Toblerone I agree I love this thread too.

Calzone I last went to Lake Garda 8 years ago last week (so timehop told me) when I was 16 weeks pregnant with DS. Such a fantastic place - I'm jealous!

Monkey argh that's so annoying. Have you been writing everything down?

Lifeisontheup2 I don't think you can eat too much fruit? In this weather it's best anyway!

Loving all the photos! I've been in vest tops (finally warm enough!) and have been getting some lovely compliments the past two days about looking slim :)

Hi. Think my post got lost on the end of the last thread. I don't seem to be eating any fat - is this ok? Thought some fat was needed? Had a few walnuts earlier, all synned but is that enough?
Sorry if it's a silly question!

Hi all,

I'm on my 5th day and all going ok - helped by my diminished appetite in this weather! The only thing I am finding tricky is fitting in my third of speed foods with my breakfast and lunch. Mainly because I am usually in a rush or in tescos near my work and I am not a fruit or salad fan! I eat raspberries if I have to but I just have no sweet tooth. And unless salad is covered in cheese or mayo or greasy meat it tastes like grass to me (and I don't like cucumber, tomatoes or avocado). I like most veg though. Any ideas? How do you all get your speed foods in?

Report
calzone · 19/07/2016 22:46

Bella....SW is basically no fat, so that's fine.

Titsy.....I add grated courgette to cereal or porridge. Just have an apple as your speed fruit or tangerines.

I love salad and vegetables but it must be tough if you don't.

Titsywoo, if I'm in a supermarket I grab a pack of raw baby sweetcorn (baby corn is speed, but not fully grown corn lol!). Things like mange tout, raw baby carrots, radishes, cooked baby beets are also good to grab. If at home i make coleslaw with grated carrot, apple, cabbage (and onion if not worried about onion breath!) with lightest mayo or nat yogurt+ mustard. I also like cold green beans in a salad.
Breakfast I use frozen berries or chop/grate apple into porridge. Some people make carrot porridge. Or add mushrooms if a savoury breakfast. Try ruby grapefruit if you don't like sweeter fruits, Its lovely, sour and refreshing!
Bella you'll probably have some fat in your syns depending on what they are, cheese if have that for HeA sometimes, and are small amounts in lean meat and cereals. You can have nuts as a heB if prefer to include more healthy fats.

Inspirational photos ladies!

Today
B o/n oats heB with rhubarb (0.5syn) and sweet freedom (0.5 syn)
Banana, melon, oranges
L ham salad.
Baked crisps (5syns)
D steak and SW chips, mushrooms, brocolli, peas.
HeA skim milk
10 syns frozen yogurt
Need to rein in my syns...
