Extra easy sp help

Joined SW ten weeks ago and doing well - lost 1st so far. I'd like to try extra easy sp but I can't seem to get my head around what I'm allowed and what I'm not. Have I got this right- only s and p foods- no ordinary free food, one hexA and two hexB. Can I syns milk and cheese or am I only allowed my HexA? Also can I eat yoghurt with a syn value if I count it? Aargh, my heads spinning! Smile

Also I know I can't syn a free food but does that mean I could have for example sausages containing 5 syns and count them??

Well I'm confused now. I thought SP and Extra Easy SP were two different things?

Slimming world sausages are a P food so these are the best ones to have on an SP day, other ones may not have enough meat to be classes as P. See here for SW foods that are useful on SP slimmingworld.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1904932-are-any-of-the-iceland-meals-suitable-for-extra-easy-sp-?b_id=1100

I'm doing my first SP week, after 6 weeks on SW so far.

I'm reading it as 1/2 plate S foods at each meal, S and P foods only with 1x HEXa, 2 HEXB and 5-15 syns. I've decided to stick to 5 syns this week.

Today I had:

Crustless quiche and half plate of salad with tomato and cucumber
2 dark rye ryvita with 2 slices leerdammer light and sliced gherkins
Homemade chilli with courgetti spaghetti
An apple and 14 cashews for a snack

Syns were olive oil for chilli and a tiny slice of a flapjack my son was eating!

Would really like to know what other people are having on SP days.

Also confused about the 2x HexB choices. Some of the B choices say S, eg 1x alpen light bar, whereas usually 2 bars is a B choice- does this mean on sp days one bar is one choice?

No you can choose any 2 HexBs on an SP day. S symbol HexBs can be used on either EE or SP days to speed up weight loss, in the same way choosing S symbol fruits and veg will.

My favourite SP meal is grilled steak with grilled tomatoes, fry light mushrooms, roasted peppers and onions, and salad. It's so good!

I've not done sp but I'm sure I read something about no yoghurt, even synned.... Might be worth double checking, if you're going to the effort of doing am SP week... Smile

LemonSqueezy, I think you're right about no yoghurt on SP, even the synned ones, as there's not the free food allowance which you would have on the normal Extra Easy days.
Q uark is a nice substitute on SP days, for topping fruit or cereal: try with sweetener and vanilla essence, or with a sachet of Options stirred through for 2 syns.

Is it yoghurt or all dairy that you can't have (even synned)??? What can you have for syns?

You can have your hexA dairy choice. You can have P dairy choices like quark and cottage cheese as the P part of SP
You can have any syns but just be aware that foods like synned yogurts or synned rice packs have a free food allowance , so will be low in syns for their calories cos the free food will be taken into account . there is a section on the SP diary for any other Free food, so you can have a yogurt or a banana but supposed to try and avoid and choose S or P first. If you do SP full time for longer than a week they recommend having 1 small free yogurt a day.
The arla protein yogurts are flavoured quark so might be a good choice, they are really filling, couldnt eat loads in the same way could over eat Mullers!!

You can also syn extra milk or cheese on top of your HexA allowance, these are synned without any free food allowance, same for HexB foods if you want more of these ( though you can already have 2 hexBs on SP)

How are SPers getting on? I weighed in this week with 4lb off. Think I'll do another week while my motivation is high.

Can you have hifi bars when SPing?

Hi - If I'm doing the SP plan and have a potato based dish which is synned, does this mean my day is not SP? Many thanks for advice

Report
ChessieFL · 20/08/2016 22:21

FMF1 - technically yes as the dish would have some free food allowance for the potato, however I know some people would say that this is ok ( same theory as the yoghurt discussions above!)
