I joined just over a week ago. Lost 3.5lbs in my first week, second weigh in tomorrow. I've set my target for just under 3stone but ideally I'd love to loose 4. Good luck 🍀

Omelettes, homemade soups, lean meats or fish, slimming world chips, slimming world tikka sauce from Iceland is great with chicken and rice, homemade burgers made with less than 5%minced beef, I especially love birds eye sensations cod in tomato & Rosemary sauce it only takes 4 min in the microwave and is only 4 syns team that up with baked potato and veg and you will be full, drink loads of water, have small treats now and again and add up all your syns. You will be amazed by the results if you stick to plan.

Candypops14 Wed 13-Jul-16 17:23:12

I'm going to go to Iceland tomorrow and get some slimming world bits, thanks for the ideas, having a omelette Tonight!

planeymcplaneface Wed 13-Jul-16 18:02:59

I got some slimming world meals from iceland tonight along with some micro bags of boiled rice. The meals are 550g which seems a big portion or is it an alright size

36mum Wed 13-Jul-16 18:29:28

The Iceland meals are huge!

planeymcplaneface Wed 13-Jul-16 19:06:31

Do i just have them on their own if they are so big? Im struggling to know how to fill in the food diary its confusing me

I like the meals too. I sometimes throw a bag of the steam fresh vegetables in too. Or the beef chana saag is amazing with chips!

Hi, I've just registered to mumsnet tonight so this is my first post, I'm joining slimming world tomorrow night, how do I start my own discussion for tips & support on this sight, I have 4 stone to lose

Sunshine2243 Thu 28-Jul-16 06:52:16

Went to my first meeting yesterday! So excited, aiming to lose at least 3 stone.

The part I feel maybe difficult is weighing food to know how much syn it is, especially when out, does anyone have any tips on how they count syns? Also, is frylight a natural oil or is it mixed down with chemicals to make it fat free? I usually cook with olive oil and was surprised that it is a syn!

abigwideworld Fri 29-Jul-16 13:26:17

Sunshine afaik the reason fry light is free is that you use miniscule amounts per spray. If you were to pour it from the bottle it would no longer be free.

Sunshine2243 Fri 29-Jul-16 14:10:18

Ahh thanks, is one spray enough for say a stir fry? Or to fry steak/chicken?

Candypops14 Fri 29-Jul-16 14:17:33

Iv had 2 weigh in so far at slimming world and have lost 8 1/2 lbs! Hoping to loose 3 more this week but weigh ins on Monday and I weighed myself today and Havnt lost any, eek X

abigwideworld Fri 29-Jul-16 14:32:51

I use about 5-10 sprays for my pan. Be careful about cooking it at too high a heat as it can easily burn your pan.

Sunshine2243 Fri 29-Jul-16 18:25:23

@abigwideworld ahh thanks for the tips, that makes it better as one spray looked like nothing! smile

@candy well done on your big loss! That's amazing first week progress! Any tips on following the diet? What were your favourite meals?
