Slimming World

Lunchtime....

I am enjoying eating the slimming world way & losing fairly well. I wanted to ask what everybody has for lunch as this is where I struggle. I have a 6 month old & a 2 year old so don't have time to cook myself bacon etc in the morning & therefore use my heB on cereal. I currently alternate between jacket potatoes, the odd salad although could do with some inspiration here as I find them deadly dull! And ham with sw chips from freezer. Keep meaning to try couscous etc, but have never cooked it before! I also hate soup so that doesn't help! Any suggestions gratefully received!

You could make the SW chickpea dhal loaf

Sw breakfast muffins.

Both syn free. Eaten hot or cold. Delicious.

Leftovers
Pasta salad
Savoury rice

I have fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and save my HEB for later in the day.

I regularly have leftovers of whatever I had the evening before...in fact I deliberately plan to have leftovers. Otherwise it's omelette and salad, or soup (are there really no soups that appeal? ). Do you like pasta n sauce (some of the Batchelors ones are free)? I like the chicken and mushroom one with loads of extra mushroons, courgettes, broccoli, bacon etc added. If cooking at lunch isn't an option you could make pasta or rice salad the day before, with whatever meat/fish/veggies you like. OR if you are on an SP day, you can have two HexB choices (so cereal in the morning and a sandwich at lunch) BUT of course that means no pasta/rice/potatoes etc which is quite hard.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I think the leftovers thing might be a way forward. tried mug shots, didn't like them much, so assume pasta & sauce might not be that great either. I am a bit of a weirdo & don't like any thicker liquids (haha!) so soup, milkshake etc are all out. It's the texture rather than flavours, strange I know!
The SP day idea is interesting too.. I could maybe give that a go. Thank you. I tried having just fruit & yoghurt in the morning before, totally backfired as I was so hungry I just kept eating crap. Definitely wouldn't be enough once I'm back at work.

Try couscous and salad, I'd recommend a flavoured pack, but you need to syn it, add to boiling water, leave for 5 mins. I've been having ainsley Harriott ones. Average 1.5 / 2 for whole pack.

I also rely on leftovers from the night before. We cook double the amount of our evening meals and have them the next day. My partner doesn't like salad, so relies on having something he can cook in the microwave at work.

Try sweetened quark for breakfast with loads of berries? It is full of protein so keeps me feeling really full. Also really thick and creamy so is almost like a naughty treat!
