1/3 of what?

I've just joined slimming world on line and thought I was doing great but I've realised I might have got the 1/3 of the plate bit wrong. I was under the impression that the 1/3 could be anything from the free list. Now I've looked at it closer, it seems to be that a 1/3 must be SP..... What is SP? On my online list I can see things that are S's or P's but no SP's. I'm feeling a bit disheartened now as i think I've been doing it wrong for the last 5 days. Any advice?

1/3 of your meal should be speed foods so salad/veg

This doesn't mean eating a normal portion then adding veg etc it means imagine a normal portion then chuck 1/3 away and put salad/veg in its place

S foods are speed, p foods are protein

Sp is a different meal plan from extra easy. I'd avoid it until you've got your head round extra easy first

Slimming works basics
1 X A each day (calcium)
1 X B each day (fibre)
1/3 of each meal needs to be S foods (speed)
Free foods unlimited but be aware of portion sizes
P food for protein
5-15 syns a day, make sure you do have 5 at a minimum

The S's a third should be the foods with an S

Thanks guys. Still not sure I've got it though.
My breakfast has pretty much been overnight oats with a banana, so is this wrong as non of these foods are s or p. And my lunch has been mostly jacket potato with beans.

I'd swop the banana for a speed fruit

Add a salad to the jacket potato

Wherever you can swop free foods for speed foods

The oats if 35g can be used as your B

It's not that it's wrong...but for instance you'd be better swapping the banana for an S fruit and having a smaller potato and less beans but having the salad with it.

It is about swapping rather than adding though, so the

So there's no point adding speed foods just for the sake of having them, they're to replace other foods.

I think that's where I'm going wrong tab. I got too sucked in by the eat as much as you like thing. I've had a much better day today. Yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, mushroom omelette for lunch and veg pasta with salad for dinner.
