I'm not sure if it is all the eggs I am eating but despite drinking loads of water, eating porridge and prunes, I find I am getting constipated a lot. In fact before weigh day I am taking sennacot a couple of days before to move things along. Does anyone else have this problem??

Has joining SW been a drastic change to your diet? It might be your body catching up...
Can you describe a typical day of eating?

I think the most drastic change has been the amount of bread I eat. I used to eat a couple, maybe 3 at the most of granary bread. Now I rarely eat any
Typical days menu is
Breakfast 2 hard boiled eggs OR Porridge with banana OR yoghurt and fruit
Lunch is usually pasta with tuna and salad OR JP with tuna or cottage cheese or a salad of some kind
Tea is something like SW recipe spaghetti Bol etc
Snacks usually fruit
I tend to have a bowl of cereal like bran flakes before bed
I'm putting a lot of lentils and pulses in things but I always did so no change there so the only massive change is bread I think

How long have you been doing it? The only other thing I can think of is that there are carbs in every meal and some SWers can get a bit bogged down with carbs but you did say you were drinking lots of water. I think most likely it's the change in diet but I'd seek some help if it's causing you problems!

Being doing it for about a month. I can only think it must be the eggs. I'm egg bound haha. Thanks for your help

Make sure you are having your heb. Maybe get some scan bran from group? It's not the nicest thing in world but it should help you go.

Hi jetsitlil this happened to me this week too, actually started gaining weight this week from not going to the toilet, took Dulolax this morning just to try and get things moving

This happened to me when I did SW a few years ago. I think it was the sudden increase in fibre (was eating about 8 portions a day but it had the opposite effect from the one I expected!). I didn't increase my water though, which I believe is what you're supposed to do in order to process the extra fibre. I gave up on it as I found the points system encouraged me to trough out even when I wasn't hungry, rather than listening to my body's 'full' and 'hungry' signals.

I'm really gutted if it is the eggs though. It's so easy and quick to make an omelette, scrambled eggs or boiled eggs for breakfast. I did take Senna cot again last week before weigh day and I lost 2lb. Maybe I'll cut back to eggs twice a week or something
