how much do you lose each week?

If you completely stick to the plan how much do you typically lose each week?

I lost 6.5 in week 1 and 3 in week 2, I can tell by my own scales it might only be 1 or 2 this week even though I haven't changed a thing, I know I can't realistically lose 3-6 every week but it feels like I've done something wrong.

I'm new to SW, but I think it depends how much you have to lose. I'm sure that 2lb a week is a healthy loss, but any more than that is muscle, but I'm happy to be proved wrong.
Big losses in the first couple of weeks also come from losing liquid, I think.
Well done though 9.5lb in two weeks is very impressive

It's totally individual. It will depend how much you have to lose, and some people do lose more than others. It can be affected by things like time of the month as well. Most people slow down their weight loss after the first couple of weeks, as your body gets used to your new way of eating. 2lb a week is a healthy weight loss, I doubt you've done anything wrong!

I've been doing this for a year now, and I expect around 0.5-1lb per week. Anything more than that is a bonus. I'm now a size 20, so still got a lot to loose. I think if I lost much more than that, I'd be at risk of putting it all on again!

I am loosing a steady 2ish LBs a week I weigh in kilos at home.

Yep, have carbs pretty much every day - tried a couple of SP days early on and I couldn't cope!!

I drink loads of water and green tea, stick to plan pretty well except on Tuesday nights post-weigh in, when I tend to have a treat. Lots of soups for lunch as well, and am religious about the 1/3 speed at every meal rule!

Except this morning. My strawberries were mouldy, so just had a Muller Light...

SW and hcp's say to look for 1-2lb a week. It's very individual, I lost around a lb a week. Every now and then I would have a bigger loss. For me it wasn't about losing quickly as about changing my lifestyle and outlook on food. I have been at target for over a year now.

I need to tighten up on the 1/3 plate of speed foo
Tighten up on sneaky syns
And maybe add more green tea instead of coffee

Thinking of doing slimming world but am rushed off my feet with work and being a single mum to a 3 and 7 yr old. Would I have to cook lots of 'from scratch' meals?

The 1/3 speed was my issue at first incy- I was adding extra rather than taking pasta, potatoes etc away and adding speed in its place! Now I replace more of the meal with speed and eat that first, seems to be working!

Knackered - no need for lots of home cooking, you could always batch cook things like pasta sauces, chilli, stews etc and soups and freeze them in portions. Or Iceland do SW branded ready meals - they're not cheap but they're good standbys for busy evenings. Can also do things like omelettes, filled jacket potatoes, pasta dishes etc that don't take too much time

Knackerednursery .... Yes, one of the points is to cook more from scratch. Having said that, it doesn't need to be "fancy" or time-consuming. My "home-cooked meal" tonight was baked potato (microwaved, then in oven to crisp up), chicken breast cut into strips and fried (spray oil) with a bit of jerk-seasoning and jalapeño pepper, and salad. 20 minutes .... And the extent of "cooking" was swirling chicken around a pan!

Didn't take any longer than a ready-meal ..... Marginally more effort, yes, but we're talking scissors to cut chicken but that's about it.

That's not a rant at you Smile that's me looking back at myself pre-SW when I was "too busy" to cook after work ....... 2 1/2 stone lighter in 3 1/2 months I'm no expert but I do acknowledge a wee bit fewer ready meals and carry-outs, and a wee bit more home-cooking has made a huge difference (as has the reduction in chocolate-intake!)

Thanks Emily-it is a good point about replacing rather than adding with speed foods

Looking through the 5 weeks since i rejoined
Week 1 7lbs
Week 2 3lbs
Week 3 1lb and I was very good
Week 4 put on 3lbs which I expected.
Week 5 lost 4lbs
I got to target 2 years ago and it averaged out about 1.5lbs over 22 weeks.
My consultant always says to put your speed food on the plate first.
