Or as normal people call it, exercise. I'm back to SW for the first time in a few years having never made much effort before and I always ignored this bit of the books. Not that I ignored the exercise, but their silly marketing nonsense annoys me! Still, if I'm going to lose the lard I better try to understand what all these awards are about? Are they shared in class or just for the member to set their own private goals? It's just exercise though, right?

I think it's essentially something to incentivise exercise. I don't know about what happens in class as I'm an online member. The awards get added to my online account though.

Ther ar several levels- bronze, silver, gold and possibly platinum. I think it is supposed to be exercise you don't normally do, so extra exercise. Bronze is something like 3x30 mins a week of exercise, maintained for 4 weeks. I think you police this yourself and tell the consultant. I was reading the poster the other day because the class was so awful. It must be online somewhere, I should think. I believe you get a certificate when you achieve it. Believe, Achieve, everyone!

Thank you both. I did read up on it in my book and online but just couldn't figure out the point of awards that you essentially give yourself! But hey, if it helps motivate people then why not? Maybe I should try it...I already track my walks using an app though. Oh well, I will read it all again.
