Start using Mumsnet PremiumJoining tonight. Nervous. What do i need to know?
(4 Posts)High jacking as I am going to start SW (but pregnant atm too). I have done it before and found it the best tbh and I've tried them all! Key is to go no matter what, even with a gain. If I even lost a lb a week in a year that's nearly 4 stone. I'm excited to go back because when I'm not on a diet I go on a bit of a free for all

They never announce your weight. Even if you've gained one week they'll soon to a positive 'iklboo has lost x pounds altogether. How do you feel about a gain this week'. No one can see the scales either - you have to stand back while being weighed. Your 'weighers' should be discreet & not holler what's happened either.
If you see someone there you know it's because they want to lose weight too!
Good luck.
I'm ashamed to have gained so much weight since ds2 was born 18months ago. I probably need to lose about 4st, I've crept from a size 16 to and 18 and now I'm probably a 20!! I have tried calorie counting and trying to eat healthy which has worked for me in the past, but I just can't get past my compulsion to eat crap at the moment.
So...I've decided to join Slimming World tonight. I'm so nervous about going along, and standing on the scales and potentially seeing people I know there. I'm just embarrassed to have gotten into this situation with my weight but I need to do something.
So what do I need to know? I don't know that much about the plan at all but I was hoping that attending a group and doing a plan might help keep me on track.
