12.5lbs left to go and want it gone within 9 weeks, looking for a buddy/ies

I've been slogging away at SW for a good few months now, 1.5 stone down and 12.5lbs left to go to target.

I had set myself the goal of my birthday as I move into a different 'age bracket' and want to start off as I mean to go on. Mentally this is a bit of a thing for me IYKWIM?

I've lurked for a while and have read the main support thread but thought I would see if there is anyone around who is getting close to target and wants to buddy up for the final push?

I worked out I need 1.3lbs off a week to G2T by my birthday, if I aim for 1.5 I should get there even sooner.

Anyone want to join me? Or Anyone with some helpful tips?

I am up for this! I've fannied around and lost 17lb which took ages, slow but steady and all that. my next target is 12lb away but I have struggled since Xmas and mojo has vanished. Went back to group today and feeling strong. Motivated.

I'll buddy up with you and I want to rejoin calzones long running thread which was brilliant when I first started a year ago.

Can I join you? I've been doing SW since start of Jan and am not really that committed. I've lost 7lb which I can feel has made a difference, but have 13lb to go to final target. I've been hovering around the same weight for the last 4 weigh ins and this week and trying really hard to stay on plan.

I did WW 5 years ago and am currently the weight I started doing it at, my goal weight was too low for me to maintain so I'm going heavier and hopefully more realistic long term this time.

I've found it great to not have to weigh/measure and count like you have to on WW, but I do worry that with SW you do eat more calories and so it is more difficult as you get to target.

Anyway I'll stop waffling, what date does 9 weeks take us to?

I've got 5 weeks left of my countdown, but was thinking I'll need another 6 week one....

I was 3lbs to target and am now 6lbs to target.

So frustrating.

That must be really annoying.

When I got to goal at WW at first I was 0.5lb over, she let me try again, I breathed out, got on the scales and I was there! Was hilarious.

Target this time is 6lb more.

I weigh in on a Wednesday, I want 1.5lbs off at least this week to kick start the final countdown.

teacup I know what you mean re fannying around since Xmas, I've lost a bit but nowhere near enough. I really want to crack on with it now.

Hacked it's brings us to the week commencing 16th May so just about 1.5lbs a week need to shift your last 13lbs.

Calzone Argh! How bloody annoying you're still so close even with the small gain, you can get there.

What days do you weigh in and what are you hoping to shift this week?

I too weigh in on a Wednesday, perfect.

Although at the in laws next week so not sure where I'm going to get weighed, but need to since I've paid for countdown and not booked holiday dates.

Can I join? Rejoining tonight and I would like to get down to initially 10 stone 7 - have to wait and see how long it will take me 😕😕

I am getting weighed in at 7:30 and then I am going to do a healthy shop :-)

Can I join too please? I haven't actually got round to joining slimming world yet... but I need to lose 10-12lbs, and this challenge might be just the motivation I need!

Me please! I go on holiday at the start of May so I guess that's only about 7 or 8 weeks away confused I've only recently joined but have had a few busy/ naughty weekends so have only lost 6lbs so far. I'm 2 stone from target but would like to loose as close to 1 stone as poss for my holiday, that'll take me to 10 stone which I know is much much better for me, I look at feel better at that weight.

Good luck all, my weigh day isn't till Saturday so there goes Friday night treats

Hello everyone!

Looks like we have a gang! I'm such a loser I want to name us team G2T! -Never been cool-.

I'm a serial home weigher and it looks like my target of 1.5lbs off this week isn't going to happen. Homemade veggie soup for dinner is the plan to try and help.

Anyone feeling positive?

Good first day back on plan:

Breakfast: Strawberries and blueberries

Lunch: smoked salmon, bread HEXB, banana

Snack: Apple

Dinner: chicken stir fry made with wholewheat noodles, peppers and tomatoes

On track hopefully it stays that way! smile

Long day at work and three hours of tutoring - only one more full day then a half day and then freedom :-)

I forgot to do my overnight oats, very annoying. I have them with blueberries and strawberries and saves my milk for tea. Weetabix not quite as filling...

So I weigh in today after the gym, I'm hoping for 2lb.

Can I join in, please? I started SW a few years ago, and rapidly lost 2.5 stone. Only about 9lbs to go until target, but for the last year I have not really been following the plan, drifting in and out of group, gaining/losing, etc. It's silly - I don't know why I don't just get on with it. Maybe this thread will give me the motivation I need!

I lost 1.5lb, so according to Totes that's what I need to lose every week, not sure that'll happen!

Off to ILs for five days from Friday so that will be a challenge to get a loss.

Well done Hacked good work! Just try your best at the ILs, do they know your on SW? Maybe bring your own snacks with you?

Well, I only went and gained 0.5lb didn't I- idiot!

Going to massively up the speed food this week.

Oh no! Today is the start of another week.

MIL knows but don't really want rest to know.

When I did WW I told them and cooked them WW meals.

Will take 0% yoghurt and some fruit for overnight oats, they normally have porridge, so will have the oats.

I'm planning to weigh in on Thursday locally as a new start after being away.

The main problem at the ILs is that they have tea and toast with cake when we're there at 5ish, then supper at 9ish, which is all a bit late for me....I go to bed at 10!

I lost 3lbs which is good but as I had gained 3lbs last week......grrrrrrr.....:-)

Dinner: homemade stew

Snack: meringue nest (3syns) fat free Greek yogurt & blueberries

Snack: left over stir fry

Lots of food but all on track :-)

I know but I haven't actually lost any weight this year which is a little frustrating when I'm only 3lbs to target!!
