Can't see how I gained

Joined fist week in Jan- sticking to plan and not bored. Last week lost 3lbs (after just half week before) this meant just 1 and a half off my stone award. This week ate more or less exactly the same - lots of speed and well within syns- also last 3 days working away which has meant a mile walk back and to train station. Stood on the scales expecting to be so happy to see that I have put one and a half pounds on. I am not kidding you or myself - I really can't see why I gained- so fed up.

I put weight on when AF is due. Could it be that?

Can't blame star week - had chemotherapy years ago and it put me through the change.......and all my Cancer medication stopped 2 years ago -

First thought was TOTM - known in SW as "star week" (because back in the old-fashioned-paper-using-days) you'd mark a star by the side of the chart - I can gain up to 3 lbs that week, despite doing nothing different to a loss week the week before.

Damn. Epic x post (because I thought I had pressed post ages ago!)

Have you been weighing/measuring your HEs?

I've only being doing it for 6 weeks but 2 weeks ago, I lost 0.5lbs, last week 1lb, I'd tried so hard and to be honest, I was gutted and starting to give up, when my consultant told me "shake up" my healthy extras, so I stopped having bran flakes and skimmed milk and tried wholemeal toast with either spread cheese or grilled red Leicester and I've lost 2.5lbs today!
She told me the more you can vary your hea's, the quicker you will lose.

My healthy extras tend to be the same - allowance of semi skimmed milk - I have to have my cup pas and as i font like breakfast cereal or dare have bread in the house I use a hi fi bar as the b choice - a treat I look forward to each night...if I had maintained I could understand but not yo put on 1 and a half....oh we'll see what next week brings

I gained (only 0.5lbs, but still frustrating) when I went from the SP plan to the normal extra easy plan. SP seems to work better for me - potatoes and rice are fine, but I always have a maintain or small loss when I've eaten pasta or bread/cereal for a HexB. Maybe try a few SP days?

My mum did SW and had been through the menopause.

She still had a star week. Not sure if it's coincidence but every 4-5 weeks she would have an unexplainable gain or maintain then a bigger loss the next week. She noted it down every time and you could see the pattern.

Her consultant said it wasn't unusual and she saw it a lot, even with women not having periods.
