In the week when i am working I have a Quaker Oats multigrain porridge sachet (be careful as only the multi grain ones are healthy extra) and fruit on top. In the summer I had strawberries, raspberries etc but now they are not in season I defrost some of the frozen summer berries and put that on top. Alternatively two weetabix topped with fruit is a good one. When I'm not working I'd do something like a fry up which is great as then you have your healthy extras for later in the day.

For lunch I will usually take salad either with boiled eggs or cooked chicken. I also take a soup, either home made if I've made some or a mug shot, then I take a couple of pieces of fruit and a yoghurt

Breakfast - branflakes (HX), muller light, fruit; omelette cooked in fry light. Plain, veggie or I rather liked banana!

Packed lunch - homemade veg/lentil soup, babybels (HX) ; Salad box - add tuna, egg, potato as HX, Suns and free foods allow

Bike run tuna, egg or potato would be free rather than he I think

Yes, when I did it 3 years ago, I did "green". Tuna was a HX, but spuds and eggs were free. I tried to word my reply to recognise that there are variations of SW and that it might be s but different to when I did it.

I have overnight oats for breakfast and they are bloody lovely!
35g porridge oats
1 muller light (vanilla)
8 frozen raspberries
Mix together and leave in fridge overnight - I make it in old jam jars and take it to work. You can make it up to three days in advance if you put it in glass so I make them Sunday and Wednesday.

I have soup for lunch with carrots and hummus - have recipes for both if you want them.

Basically it takes 30 mins on a Sunday afternoon to make 3 X breakfast, 5 X lunch and 5 X snacks

Ok they don't do green and red days anymore it us just extra easy, I joined after green and red days had been scraped or think that is why your answer confused me as I always think of healthy extras as bread, cereal etc and then dairy

Make a bit of extra dinner and stick it in a Tupperware.

Im trying to do this 3 times a week and then I only have to have soup and salad once each, as I get bored of those!

So far I've only had porridge or weetabix for breakfast but am going to try overnight oats this week.

I made the breakfast muffins last night. Look and smell lovely!
Lunch will be left overs, or an sp soup/casserole with a small amount of rice/pasta added. Yogurt and fruit/veg sticks for snack.
The hummus looks nice, but I can't get over the lack of tahinI. Will try it though.

Drinkyourmilk I make my hummus with tahini as you're right, it's not hummus it's puréed chickpeas otherwise! I follow a basic hummus recipe but substitute the oil for the chickpea canning liquid - it's lovely and a can of chickpeas worth with 1 tbsp of tahini makes at least 5 portions so 1 syn per portion

Oh chelsea that's fab news! I was looking at the syn free version online yesterday trying to work out how they could sing the praises of pureed chickpeas with garlic and lemon.

Hi everyone thanks so much for the suggestions. Would you mind giving me the recipes? They sound lovely.

Sorry to ask but I am still a bit confused so wanted to double check. The website is great but so much info....

Allowances for a day

Free foods
5-15 send
2 healthy extras one from A section and one from B section
Is there a milk allowance?

Thanks

Milk is from the healthy a selection.
I think there are some soups you can use for your b choice, Iceland also sell slimming world soups that are free. For lunches I think you do need to be organised you can make your own soup, pasta/rice/couscous salad and take as a pack up but you probably need to sort night before.
Some bachelors pasta n sauce are free and mugshots are free so useful for an emergency but probably not ideal to have too often.

I'm an online member too, so I completely understand your website frustrations! It can be tricky to find info on there.

During the week I have bran flakes, fruit and milk for breakfast. I then have leftovers for lunch, which does impact what we eat for dinner during the week. We just have to make sure it's something we can take to work. Tends to be a lot of pasta and rice dishes.
