Starting in the new year

I need to lose 3 stones ( at least . too scared to weigh till Monday )

Is anyone else starting next week ? I will need a lot of support and arse kicking !

I have never done slimming world but I have heard good things ,any hints and tipos would be very welcome.

Howlong come over and joined the thread calzone set up its been running for a while but lots of new people joining it's the slimming world support one. It's a friendly bunch and loads of great tips and support. I've been doing it for a year and lost 3 stone 9 (may have just had a 5lb Xmas gainblush) I've got about a stone and a half to gosmile

Hi! I joined SW today- need to lose a similar amount.

I've never done it before, I'm hoping my MIL will help as she's maintaining hers well.

Yes I feel loads better and it's not been too difficult at all I've had holidays, nights out and other social occasions, sometimes I've stuck to slimming world sometimes I've had a blowout and had a gain. It sounds a bit corny but it's been a lifestyle change for me and I feel so much better in myself. I'm going to start doing some exercise in the new year as I'm a bit wobbly after having the dc.

It's not a scary thread and lots of new people are joining at the mo as we head into the new yearsmile

Can I join you. Just joined online as I know I won't get to a group. I did it a couple of years ago and lost 2.5 ish stone (though have a lot more to lose!!) which felt white easy at the time. Have had a baby since then and managed to out most of it back on.

I'm starting on Tuesday night very nervous about it but looking forward too if got at least 6stone to lose, turning 30 21 this year so want too look lovely at my party and have lost at least 4 stone by then!

My best tip (from many years ago, so I'm hardly an expert) is to keep going to group and if you have a bad meal, it's just that one meal. Doesn't mean you carry on all day/week. I sound like I know what I'm on about, when I really don't! I've just joined online. Let's do this smile

I joined September 2014, I'm 4.5 stone down, ummm...large Christmas gain, but once that's off about 7lb to target. I have dieted all my life and this is the first time I've ever done it, kept it off and am looking forward to being back on it on Monday once I've eaten the rest of the gorgeous cheese in the fridge

Secret is, climb straight back on if you have a bad day, devote 30mins each week to meal planning and accept you will need to spend a bit more time in the kitchen (which gets easier the longer you do it)

I'm a completely different person xx

Thank you . I enjoy cooking so I am hoping that won't be too much of a faff .

My biggest fear is going headlong into it for a couple of weeks and then failing . the advice about getting back on after a crap meal our day is good .

Feel free to remind me I said that in a couple of weeks grin

I went this morning (8am!!!) but couldn't find the venue - I did call the consultant in the week, but she didn't call me back, and I couldn't raise her this morning either: I know I need a convenient place to get to, because otherwise, if it's too much of a faff I won't go - but I could do without the only place I can get to on public transport being half an hour a way on a Saturday morning... But I know it'll be worth it in the end. I hope grin!

im rejoining as i hear and read how well people are doing, and thinking if only i would of stuck to it last time and the time before and time before lol ,id be skinny.
so im hoping this is the last time i will ever rejoin, and i can continue this journey with my weight loss, even more im hoping this grouo will help me push me downwards not upwards xx

That's pretty much the same for me. Hoping this time will be different! Feels like a good time of year to start and before we know it, it'll be summer and nice to wear summer clothes!
