If so, what do you eat? What are your HEA & HEBs? I get Envy when I go through the lists & realise how much more limited my choices are. Most days I have to split my HEAs e.g. I'll have 150ml 1% fat Lactofree milk in tea and half the g of sheep's or goats' cheese. When I got my food diaries back, the group leader commented that I should stick to 1 HEA. I'm hoping others will post some ideas I haven't thought of.

You can split them fine, it's just that you have to be aware that because it's split you might not quite get the right amount of calcium, but as long as you keep a bit of an eye out for it in other things it's not a big issue.

It won't affect your weight loss as long as you're weighing or measuring.

In a magazine a few months ago a lady was using Nairns gluten free muesli as a HEB, or half a carton of gluten free gloriously skinnylicious Thai tuk tuk soup, or cashews. Dietary specials herb and onion crackers for lunch, 1 syn each , and Debbie and Andrew gluten free sausages 2.5 syn each. Hth.

Thank you both for taking the time and trouble to reply, I really appreciate it. I weigh and measure all HEA & HEBs, tab and as I've been dairy free for 13 years now I'm pretty clued up about which non-dairy foods are calcium rich. I'm happy to say it's working and I've lost my first half stone Smile.

maygirl it sounds as if it might be worthwhile investing in the SW magazine, or at least flicking through it while I'm at the meetings, to see if there's an article about food intolerances. I like the Skinnylicious soups, but am limited to the laird lentil & vegetable one as it's the only wheat & dairy free one stocked locally. Thai tuk tuk sounds delicious!

More suggestions welcome!

I am gluten-free. I like baked oats, M&S wheat-free loaf, toasted, Nairn's crackers, and sometimes dried fruit instead of a grain Smile

Thanks, Heyx3, my nearest M&S is a 50 mile round trip, but I'll definitely pop in & look for their wheat-free loaf next time I'm in the city. I'm intrigued by baked oats, please excuse my ignorance - what are they?

I bought the latest magazine and enjoyed reading it. There's a free 2016 calendar with it, which has a recipe/month. Many of them are wheat & dairy free Smile Result!

The baked oats recipe is on the website, it's like overnight oats, only better because it comes out like cake....see, it's lovely.
