Chicken curry
Spicy salmon noodles(dh adores these, says it's better than the takeaway)
Homemade burgers
Pizza topped chicken
Carbonara
And a good old bacon butty - which I've just finished Grin

Spicy salmon noodles takes 20 mins

Cook salmon in the oven for 20 mins under foil
boil dried noodles for 4 minutes drain and set aside
Meanwhile slice onions carrots cabbage (or I heat and use a stir fry packGrin)
Fry in fry light for 2 mins
Add garlic and 1 tbsp curry powder and fry for 2 mins
Add noodles to veg with 2 tbsp water & 1 tbsp soy sauce and fry for 2 mins
Flake cooked salmon and stir in to veg noodle mix

Eat with lots of yummy noises Smile

Thai prawn stir-fry:

Marinate raw prawns in chilli, garlic, ginger, juice of 1 lime, tspn fish sauce & chopped coriander (I use frozen)

Cook 1 portion of dry egg noodles whilst frying 1/2 pack stir-fry veg (I used tspn oil for 2 syns or fry-light). When it's nearly cooked add raw prawns & marinade, mix in noodles & once cooked set-aside & wok fry a scrambled egg - mix together & enjoy Grin

Redor can I have your beef stew recipe & just wondering what (if anything) you add to your mash instead of butter/cream?

Quark is supposed to be nice mixed into mash but not tried it yet. I do have a tub in the fridge though

Hi pheobe

Beef stew

In a large saucepan fry lean beef in fry light until sealed then remove from pan with slotted spoon
Add whatever veg you like to pan and fry for 3-4 mins
Put beef back in with:
1tbsp Worcester sauce
Squeeze tomato purée or passata
800 ml beef stock (I use the rich beef stock pot - makes its own gravy so you don't need to add granules later)
Salt & pepper
Basil/ rosemary / any other herbs you fancy

Cover and simmer for 90 mins stirring occasionally
Remove lid, crank up the heat and boil for 20-30 mins until sauce has reduced (if you like it thick you can add a tsp or 2 of gravy granules at this point for 1/2 syn)

I add fat free fromage frais to mash to make it creamy, or cheese from my healthy A or occasionally a little mustard made up from mustard powder so it's free. Smile

Thanks all. Sounds good. Have never used quark. How would you use it best. Ie with mashed potatoes, what else would you add to it?

Quarks easy, cook some pasta, add some tomatoes and veggies. Take tub of quark, chuck it in the bin and enjoy your pasta Grin
