Anyone want to jump back on the SW wagon with me next week?

I did really well on SW last year until about August when it all went horribly wrong.

We had a good virtual group on here. A lot of us were doing it ourselves rather than going to a group but we had some fantastic 'group losses'.

Does anyone want to join me next week and get going again? I am planning to weigh in on the 6th...

I will.

Same as you, did really well until Aug and then put loads of weight back on. My aim is to loose 1.5 stone by Easter and 3 by next Christmas.

I'm in! I started in October. Lost 1.5 stone by Christmas Eve, but the past week has been horrendous! I wouldn't be surprised if I've put in 1/2 stone this week ??

Trying to start back to it today.

It really does help to have others to talk to about it and keep you on track!

I will. I can't wait feeling really fed up about the weight I've put on. I have a family wedding in May and it would be really nice to loose a stone (and a half) by then.

I will weigh in and start on the 6th but also joining up on the 10th if I can find a voucher anywhere..

Anyone fancy shredding too? I think combining SW and shred for a month should give a great start.

Me too, but I'll be late and starting on the 11th after my holiday.

Hi everyone, would love to join in! Lost 1.5 stone on sw last year, put most of it back on tho! I signed up to a swish gym, starting in Jan. Its a big financial commitment for us so im hoping the cost will encourage me to go! I have about 6-8 stone to lose, and after a few near misses health wise in 2013, 2014 is the year I get myself sorted.

would love to be 3 stone lighter by my birthday in may, that would be 2lbs a week.

I'm in, I've tried a couple of times last year but I'm rubbish.
I have the books from 3 yrs ago and google the syns but I feel I don't get it right with the third super free etc.
Has anyone done the online one? Does it calculate syns etc for you and is it worth the money.
I find class mortifying I need to lose two ugly stones.
Anyone fancy escaping the rules.

ledkr I did it online, not sure what you mean about calculating the syns for you, but it has a directory of pretty much everything and it tells you the syns or if its free.
its not great, especially if you have been to a group. The first couple of weeks are fine as you work your way through the info, but after that it repeats and doesn't feel very supportive.

Excellent! We have the beginnings of a great group!

I would like to lose 2 stone by Easter which I think is doable. I'm really cross with myself that after a great start last year I slipped back into bad habits.

Glen I'm planning to Shred as well for a good start.

Lisa I've found a lot of the recipes DH/DS friendly. Once we get going next week I'll try to post meal plans etc.

It's expensive too so I my try myself. I also need to cook for all of us cos I work and often get in late so I can never cope with fad diets for long.
I may try menu planning while I'm still off work ready for the 6th.
Any good ideas for caked lunches?

Have lost 2 stone 3 pound since September and belong to a great group but am expecting to have put the 3 pounds back on !! Have 4 1/2 stone to go and a family wedding in March - want to lose the 1 1/2 by the wedding at the end of March and the other three by next Christmas !! Am worried having given myself a week off that I will struggle to get back on track . I thought I was conquering some of my food demons but having had extra things in the house I realise I really haven't !! The lurpack in the fridge calls to me every time I go in the fridge ( my big weakness is toast !!)

I'm in I lost 2.5 stone in 4 months last year by doing slimming world at home and exercising...I think I've put a bit back on quite scared to weigh...hoping to lose another 2 stone by the end of May.

I did of course mean packed.

I know what you mean about the stuff in the house, I've literally eaten shit all day. I have real butter too and gave up bread for weeks before Xmas but I too am craving lovely butter on toast.

I'm in bed now after a tiff with dh, im very tired as dd woke ridiculously early and I've been on my own with her whingeing all day, so no tea for me as I'm sulking.

Also any ideas for exercise videos that don't involve much strain on the knees. I can't do lunges or squats as I have a knee injury....caused by lunges and squats Grin

Packed lunch ideas...

Ryvita (HeB) with cottage cheese, tinned mackerel, v.low fat philadelphia, laughing cow triangles (blue cheese ones are lovely) + tub of salad

Tub of salad with prawns, tuna, chicken, cottage cheese

Mug shots if you have access to a kettle - a lot of them are 'free' but would need to check

Big fruit salads, mullet light yogurts

Tuna salad 'nicoise' with hard boiled eggs, cold new potatoes, tinned tuna

Home made 'free' soup in a flask

Pasta salads with cold pasta and fat-free dressing - good for using up leftovers

If you don't have one it's worth getting an insulated lunch bag and a couple of ice packs!

Can I join in? Was only halfheartedly doing SW in the latter part of the year, I know it will work though if I do it properly. Right now after Christmas I am feeling extraordinarily fat and have at least 4 stone to lose. I won't know for definite though until I weigh myself when I get home, so the 3rd Jan. Have already got an ocado order in for the day we are back to enable a weeks meal plan all SW.

I have also downloaded and signed up for GymPact so we shall see if that works to get more exercise in...

You could try the rosemary connolly salsa vids ledkr, they are dancing so better on the knees.

Glad I'm not the only one mad enough to shred, think I may start that tomorrow so the scales aren't quite so cruel!

Count me in. I have about 2.5 stone to lose and I'm starting on 6th Jan. I did SW about three years ago and it did work. I just need to say a fond farewell to Indian takeaways lol

Can someone tell me what Shredding is please?

I was going to spend £60 on slim in 6 DVDs but someone on here suggested utube and I've got the first four weeks downloaded for free hurrah!!

How is slim in six fizzie Many lunges?
It was the frigging shred that fucked up my knee in the first place.
I might try Zumba as I used to be a dancer (many stones and years ago) so enjoy that more than gym.
In shockingly unfit.
