My 10m old has just recently started to sleep through, we were on our 10th night of him doing so. Happy Days!
However his naps have gone to absolute crud! He cries when we put him in his cot, he screams for ages, maybe conks out for 20 mins. He neither takes a good morning or afternoon nap for the last 2 days and guess what his night sleeping has turned to poo as well now. Up from 2am last night and did not settle again. at all. up with him at 6am. I cannot cope with this.I feel like a zombie and am at the end of my rope.
He used to take a good 2h nap from 10am and then another 1-2 hours in the afternoon at about 2pm. He was still doing this when he stared to sleep through.
For getting him to sleep though we used CC and it worked. Have tried this for naps but to no avail, am trying to start up a good nap "routine". Somebody tell me what to do and that it gets better. Please!

Just a thought but maybe, given he's sleeping through, he's ready to move to one long sleep in the day? So 30 mins after his lunch put him down for his nap?

Second what Heated says. My DS dropped his morning sleep around this time and just had 2-2.5 hours around lunchtime. Perhaps he just doesn't need the same amount of sleep that he used to?

Is he also going through separation anxiety and/or starting to pull up/babble/teething/going through a growth spurt?

something I read once said that day sleeps and night sleeps are controlled by different parts of the brain, so is totally okay to have two different routines for night and day sleep. Also my paed said that controlled crying is fine for night but not recommended for day, so maybe you need to do a bit more soothing during the day to get him to take his day naps?
