Toddlers: The Mumsnet Guide - advice and experiences from parents who have been in your position and lived to tell the tale!
DS has a cotbed (currently used as a cot) and soon we will be taking the sides off - aagh!! What are the best bed guards? There seems to be an endless selection of them to choose from - help please! TIA
To be honest I wouldn't bother. Just put a couple of pillows or a spare quilt on the floor in case of falls, if you want to. At some point the bed guards have to come off - it may as well be now, whilst he is in a bed fairly low to the fall.DD had one or two falls, but nothing bad and she soon got the hang of it.
I didn't actually use bedguards for either of mine. Is the cotbed quite low? Perhaps just put a couple of pillows on the floor for a soft landing if he does fall out!Sometimes mine didn't even wake when they fell! And it doesn't take long to get used to no sides anyway - no more than a month for both of my ds's.Save your money, I say !
Great advice, thanks ladies!
