Co-sleepers - where does your DC sleep until you go to bed?

We co-sleep with 9 mo DD with the help of a cot with the side taken off. Until recently she would feed all evening/sleep in a chair downstairs until we went to bed but now seems to be disturbed by the telly and sometimes turns over = nearly falling out and waking up, so I've been trying to settle her in her cot. Problem is missing side means she's unrestrained, so when she wakes up and wants us she heads speedily for the edge of the bed. She's fallen off once already

Any suggestions? No room to move mattress onto floor. Video monitor? End of co-sleeping?

Hiya
We part co-sleep- at first son was in a crib next to our bed until first feed (11-ish)but outgrew it at 4 months. We had to move him to a cot in another room for reasons of space and safety but carried on as before, ie bringing him in with us after first waking.
It's worked out fine- he's 12 months now and generally in his cot until 3 or 4 am, unless poorly or teething. We get the best of both worlds- a bit of space in bed then a few hours all together.
Could you get one of those toddler bed guards to put on the side of her cot? Might be a good compromise.Otherwise, putting the side on won't mean you can't co-sleep any more as she can join you once she's woken for the first time.
xx

Dd used to sleep in prison cot for evening then in bed with me when I came to bed.

Ds sleeps in bed alone, has fallen off twice but our bed is low and he's fine! Now he's 11mths and gets off quie happily to come and find me
