DC3 (2.5) is being a right pain to get down for his daytime nap - dont knwo whether to drop it or not? feel he's a wee bit young for no daytime sleep! dc1 was about 3 when she dropped hers and dc2 was nearly 4!!!! but he's never been the best sleeper and last night it was nearly 9 when he finally gave in (he'd had about an hour in the day yesterday). He's had 5 mins in the car at about 6 tonight and has just gone straight to sleep!
is 2.5 too young to lose his daytime sleep?

DD stopped napping during the day pretty much by the age of 2y. At that age she definitely did not nap every day, maybe just once or twice a week perhaps if we were in the car for example.

Canella - it doesn't have to be all or nothing LO (3 yrs) still has one some days (doesn't like it, but needs it!!). She is at Nursery 5 mornings a week though (private school so the number of mornings isn't optional and she chooses to stay for lunch and afternoon play 2 or 3 days a week) so she gets pretty tired! However, she is getting slower and slower to drop off to sleep (in the afternoon not in the evening) so I think we are just about at the end of being able to do it. Which while it will cause some grizzly tea times will be nice as I'll see more of her
