Question for cosleepers

DD is 8 months and still sleeping in our bed which we are fine about in the most part.

The question I have is she goes to bed at 7.30pm and has a bit of a roll before going to sleep I'm terrified she is going to fall off the bed so far we have put pillows up around the edgea to stop her falling but as she gets stronger this might not work.

She also has her daytime naps on our bed as well. I was thinking of getting a Tomy bed guard but they seem only suitable for single beds and from 18 months.

Anyone got any ideas?

We used a bedside cot mostly which worked well. I did use a Tomy bedguard when dd was tiny though- they even gave them out in the maternity hospital to people who wanted to co-sleep (not to keep, I mean!). I suppose when it comes to naps you'd need one each side though, and I'm not sure I'd be that confident about that with an 8 month old. Is a bedside cot a possibility?
