My DD is also 14 wks & i've struggled with her day naps cos i was first told that "she'll sleep when she's tired" no she doesn't!-far too nosey & will fight it if left up to her. Have since been told that young babies sleep in 45 min cycles & can take up to a yr for them to sleep longer than that in the day. Also that at this age they shouldn't really be awake for more than 2 hours at a time or they get over tired & can be harder to settle. Don't know how true this is but have noticed my DD sleeps much better now i generally follow these rules & look out for her eye rubbing & pop her in her cot. If she doesn't settle, i get her back up for 15 mins & try again - usually works but not always!! hope it might help.

Good luck! Have you got a bouncing cradle chair thing? ( not sure what they're called) my dd will sit happily in hers for about 15 mins while watching me get on with things that you can't do one handed! she can see me & whats going on so will tolerate it for a while!
