What age did you DC drop their afternoon nap?

I'm wondering what age your DC dropped their afternoon nap, because my LO has not been going down for the last week, despite still going out for a walk in the buggy as usual?

The last 3 days she has been overtired by bedtime and despite going down OK wakes 30-45 minutes later with an overtired cry. She's only 17 weeks so should I be doing more to try and reintroduce the afternoon nap ie shorten her other 2 naps or not take her out for a walk but put her down in her cot instead?

Thanks in advance

dd is 4.7 and still sleeps an hour or so after lunch.
At 17 weeks she had about 3 naps a day

All babies are different, but FWIW, my 18 month-old still sleeps for between 1- 1.5 hours in the morning and about an hour in the afternoon and sleeps from 7-7 at night.

At 17 weeks, I don't think she really had a daytime nap routine. She just slept whenever and wherever she wanted to.

I'd just let her sleep as and when.

It'll be different again in a month. And again the month after...

Getting them used to napping in their cot is good, put her down when she seems tired. If she doesn't go to sleep then get her up again. She'll soon drop off wherever she is when she is tired.

Sorry I meant the late afternoon nap... She is still getting a long morning and after lunch nap in her cot.

@ StopSittingOnTheBaby - my DD isn't really an "as and when" baby... she's very placid but thrives on routine... It's just heartbreaking to see her get overtired.

DD hated naps from about 3 months - was a real struggle. DS (3 years) still nods off if we are in the car on sometimes lying on the sofa - had a regular hour or two in the morning until he was 2 1/2. DD2 has a couple of 40 mins naps - am and pm - she is 6 months.
