10 week old fighting sleep

My 10 week old DD has all of a sudden started fighting going to sleep.. Night and Day.

She never used to do this and would settle really well.

Even when shes really really tired she will whine and moan for ages before going off.
No matter what we try it doesnt seem to help.
She loves her swing and would always go straight off on that but now she moans in that too.

Her night sleep has got worse too. Instead of sleeping 10/11 till 5/6 this week we are lucky to get to 4.30am. Twice this week its been 2.30am.
Last night she fed at 2.30 then didnt settle again till almost 4am.

Ive no idea why things have suddenly changed as nothing in her routine has.

Any ideas anyone? Any tips to try?

Growth spurt maybe? She will settle back down. Dd went through phases every 10-12 weeks.
Oh how precious sleep becomes when they are born!!

I agree re growth spurt. My LO started fighting sleep at 7 weeks. I suddenly realised it was because he was still hungry. There's a useful piece in the baby whisperer that says they quickly start to associate bedtime with hunger and fight sleep and get upset when they realise they are being put to bed. This is exactly what happened to us. Once I started topping him up before sleep (but then waking him before he was put in his cot) he started self settling better than ever. I just did it for a couple of days while the milk supply caught up.

Yip, growth spurt! You were very lucky with her sleep pattern, what she has moved to is far more normal for a 10 week old.
