What day time sleep for a 7 month old??

My DS's day time sleep is all over the place at the mo. He will go from 2 hours to 4 hours between naps, but going 4 hours makes him over tired.

I cant seem to get him to nap at times that mean he isnt over tired for when he eats and then to enable him to go to bed at 7pm??

What kind of routines do others have there littles ones in??

My 6.5 month old naps roughly 9am and 1.30pm-ish. He's normally up at 6 -6.30am in the morning. The morning nap tends to last 45 mins to an hour and the afternoon about 2 hours. However, this can vary a lot!! He's teething at the moment so it's all over the place. Normally his food/milk times are fairly random as well! Sorry, not much help probably! WHen does your ds wake up? Can you try to get him to sleep about 3 hours after he wakes? My ds tends to wake from his afternoon nap after an hour and then I move hell and high water to get him back to sleep for another hour and that means he wakes around 3-3.30 and can last til bedtime reasonably well (bedtime is 6.30pm).

dd1 used to do 2 naps a day at that age of about 1hr.

She woke up at 6.30ish. Napped at 9.30/10 then again at 1. Bed at 7.

Peggotty, what are you milk and feed times to fit around ur nap times, my DS wakes between 6.30 and 7.30.

The naps arent bothering me as im ok with as an when, but if i dont get them right he has his afternoon bottle to late so tea bottle and bed will have to be later!!

We're struggling with naps for same age children over here. The thread doesn't start off that way butt it ends up like that.

didsnbump - ds sometimes (but not always) has bf when he wakes (depends on when he's fed in the night, this can be very random, usually once), then breakfast at 7.30-8am, bf about 11.30, lunch 12.30-1pm, bf 4-4.30pm, tea 5ish, bf at bedtime. He's not taking much food-wise atm as I've not long started him on solids. These feeding times are based on a good day with him, like I say, it can all go totally to pot if he's teething/ill/just feels like it!!
