7m old sleep!

So, as the title suggests our 7m old has decided that sleep is for the weak!

He has slept through the night from 9 weeks but as of the last couple of weeks he's decided he doesn't want to do that anymore so I'm up 2/3/4 times a night and then he's fully awake at 5/5:30am

His day naps are also AWFUL. He naps for 20-45mins tops, wakes up still tired (I know this cause he wakes up crying and rubbing his eyes etc) but won't go back down at all.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get him to link his sleep cycles during the day?

We put him to bed slightly later last night and he slept until 7am again (aside from the 4:30am nappy change but I'll let him have that one lol) so I'm hoping that will work slightly. I also made the bedtime routine 'longer' and calmer as such so that he was ready to go to bed and he did go straight down.

So fingers crossed that works but I need to get his naps sorted. I'm due back to work soon so have to get him in some form of routine for both nursery and being at nanny's.

He learnt to crawl and sit unaided about 3 weeks ago so I know that possibly has something to do with it. He's also teething massively which could also be a factor but if anyone has any tips that would be great.

I've read about the Ferber method too and although I don't really want to do it, if anyone has any success stories from it that would be great (please no negative ones or people telling me it'll damage him I'm well aware of the method and what it constists of)

Thank you! Sorry for the long post 🙈

Hey, unfortunately I have nothing to offer regarding the nap situation because I'm in exactly the same boat with my 8mo - I've just litteraly posted a tread very similar to yours!

BUT - what I can offer is a Ferber success story. And i was completely anti sleep training - until I had a baby that didn't sleep. We hit the 4 month sleep regression and never recovered. He was up every 1/2 hours, bed sharing was a disaster a the breastaurant was open all night = non stop feeding. I was on the brink. We did a combo of Put Up Put Down (look up Tracy Hogg) but using the Ferber wait times for days 1-3 before moving to just doing Ferber day 4 onwards - The first day is hellish, not gonna lie, but there was a dramatic improvement from day 2, by day 4 he was pretty much sleeping through. He now regularly sleeps 12 hours - and he is so much much happier for getting sleep!! Sleep is so important for you and for them.

Just need to get the bloody naps sorted now.
