Hi all

I wondered if anyone had any advice or had had a similar situation. My little one is 10 weeks old and is breast fed.

She will tend to go to bed and sleep for 4-5 hours initially (which is great) the last few weeks upon waking (around 1-2am) she will then feed and go back down, she will sleep for 10 mins or so and then will be kicking her arms and legs around (eyes closed) which can go on for sometime. we will then have this cycle for 1hour 40 ish before she wakes again - the same then happens for an hour and she’s awake again. I don’t understand why the second half of the night is so bad.

Does anyone have any advice? I’ve tried changing from a sleeping bag to blankets and vice versa in case she was cold. But I don’t think she is. She can self soothe to sleep (not consistently) but she can do in the day.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

My little boy was like this from birth until about 12 weeks. I think I read that in the early hrs their digestive systems are working lots and so it makes them extremely wriggly! Annoying for us as they are still asleep. Little boy is now 16 weeks and doesn’t do it anymore
