Sleep

3 month day time sleep

My DS is 3 months. He currently sleeps through the night more often than not. In the day he naps jn 30 minute intervals, never more. That would be ok, except it seems he wakes up tired and then can be a little cranky.

Just wondering how much do your 3 month olds sleep during the day? For how long, and how often?

I know I'm lucky he sleeps at night - I am very very grateful - but not sure I've got the day naps working quite right

Sounds like my son when he was that age... he had 4 cat naps (20-30 mins) a day and then slept through at night!

As soon as we started weaning at 5 months, he started sleeping longer (3 naps a day anything from 45-90 mins) and now he's 9 months and on 2 x 90 mins or longer naps a day . Some babies just like a cat nap but in my experience they'll just eventually sleep longer once they get more active and have food to digest 🙂

My baby is 3 months and exactly the same. She will only nap for max 45 minutes no matter where it is, even if its on me/in a sling but yet she sleeps great at night. I hope things change soon as she only can stay awake about 45 mins - 1 hour so she has to have about 6 naps a day and she gets increasingly difficult to settle as the day goes on xx

You’re so lucky to have babies that sleep at night. 3 kids here and they all catnapped day and night until over a year old

Little one is nearly 4 months and also cat naps. My daughter did the same until about 6 months when she started having longer naps. Hoping my boy does the same!

My daughter is 3 months too and she will have a 30-40 min cat nap every two-three hours of awake time. She's going through a phase of getting very over tired before those naps though!
