Hi,
My DS (2nd child) is 10 weeks. He’s gaining weight very well! Was a big baby. Feeds great (breastfed). Since birth until around 8 weeks, he was sleeping between 2 and 4 hours at night and doing great. We have him in a next to me crib.
Since around 8 weeks, at night he is waking between every 30 mins to an hour- think the most he is sleeping is around 1 hour and 15 mins. He is needing a feed each time he wakes too. He’ll sleep for longer if I fall asleep with him (lying down feeding)- I don’t do this intentionally but I’m so tired that I can’t help it. I’m not really wanting to co sleep if I can help it- I did this with my older child and couldn’t get him to sleep through in his own bed until he was 3 and a half.
I do think DS is going through a leap but my fear is that he will stay this way- my older one was a terrible sleeper so I’m a bit traumatised I think
Does anyone have any tips for me? I fully anticipate that it’s just another wave we need to ride and I’m happy to go with that. However, I’ve noticed he’s crabbier through the day though- again this could be because of the leap/development but I wondered whether it was because he’s not sleeping as well.
