DD for the past 4 weeks (minus 1 weeks for a cold/teething) has been sleeping 12/14 hours a night and having a 1-3 hour nap in the day. Last night she slept 12 hours, 2.5 hour nap in the day and 4 hours later went down for bed (half five tonight)
I definitely feel very very lucky she sleeps so well but i can't shake this feeling that something is wrong?!?
She's very active and has been walking 3 months

What do you think is wrong? It sounds roughly similar to DS (15 months).

What do you want to phone the HV for?

Honestly i couldn't even tell you! I see all the guidlines say 12-14 hours of sleep a day and she exceeds that by a fair bit so i just think there's something wrong with herblushmaybe she's ill or something but she's not even ill!
I'm being paranoid aren't i!

How old is she? DS always used to sleep much less than average and now sleeps more than average. Since he started walking, he's incredibly active so I'm not surprised he's shattered!

I know you are worried and I’m not making light of that, but I really wish I had that concern! My 12 month old sleeps too little I feel! I think your baby sounds about right though for that age, just going by some friends children. They are all different and if you have a feeling your needs to be checked then you should go ahead, never feel you are wasting time or being silly!

DFB (Dear Foster baby) is 13 months, he napped for 3 hours today and will sleep 12-13 hours tonight, he has been walking since 10.5 months but has really taken off in the last few weeks.

DFB2 is 7 months, sleeps for 2x2 hour naps and will go 12-14 hours overnight.

DFB woke from his nap at 16.00 and was back in bed (and asleep) by 18.15, I often wake him from his nap at 16.30 but he seldom goes to sleep later than 18.30. She sounds fine to me.

It doesn’t sound outside the normal bounds. It may well be because he is exhausted from walking round all day when he isn’t quite used to it.
