Hi everyone!

I thought I’d start a thread for those of us who co-sleep and love it!

This is a space to share experiences, tips, ask questions, etc.

I’ll kick us off!

I have DS, who is 9 months. We only started cosleeping about a month ago and I love it! No night wake ups and lots of lovely cuddles. I have a sidecar cot where he goes to start with so I can have an evening!

If anyone has any tips for dealing with fidgeting and little fingers in ears/eyes/etc please send them my way! We are buying a bigger bed soon, has anyone gone full co sleep (as in binned the cot) and made their bed a huge family bed?

I co sleep with my 2 year old. It’s lush and snuggly and he likes to sleep in my arm pit!! But he tries to often have a few chats throughout the night!!!

We’ve got a super king as at one point I thought my eldest may join us...! But he hasn’t! I put a bed guard to the side my son sleeps

We co-sleep with our children. Have done for a few years (they are still toddlers). We all sleep well and I dont worry about them.

I love cosleeping! Did it with my daughter for 3 years and now DS who has just turned 1 has been in my bed since birth.

We have a super king but DH tends to sleep in the spare room as me and ds snore 😂 I still end up with about 6 inches of bed while the baby starfishes.

He doesn't have night feeds anymore but still shuffles over for a cuddle, or the shove his hand in my mouth/headbut/slap me.

I used a Sense-U monitor when he was small to watch breathing and position- after a week in scbu with respiratory issues i felt better having it there.

Cosleeping is lovely.

Ds2 coslept until he was 3, he is 8 now and still regularly comes in during the night because he gets lonely. He is getting bigger now though and often ends up laying across the bottom of our bed instead of getting in it. DS3 coslept until around 18 months, he is 4 and will now come in maybe once every couple of weeks.

I'd love to co-sleep - I've said to DH a few times that it feels weird for us to sleep together and poor little one-year-old DD has to sleep in her own room. He'd be happy to have her in with us.

Having said that, she goes to bed at 7pm and sleeps through until 7am - she's clearly happy and comfortable, so it feels like taking her in with us would be for our (my!) benefit, rather than hers. I'd love the cuddles, though!

Unintentionally we ended up co sleeping with DD - not out of choice but both working full time so took the path of least resistance!

The snuggles are great.....BUT she's always twizzled my hair in her sleep or likes to sleep practically on top of my head! She sleeps like a log and I don't! 🤣

I used to co nap with ds(2.5) when he was a baby until about 1, loved it! When I stay at my parents ds and I share a double bed and its my favourite thing. On the very rare occasion he has a day nap we snuggle up together too . He's really good at going to bed himself now and though I would happily cosleep, it would be for my benefit not his, enjoy it whilst it lasts all! (Not a humble brag)

Oooo @OverTheRainbow88 we are thinking about investing in a bigger bed! Is it worth it?? I’m starting to think we don’t have much choice as at the moment if feels like both son and dad are sleeping on top of me 😂

@majesticallyawkward I had a sense-U too! Baby spent time in special care and then was rehospitalised for a week so I was a bloody wreck. We didn’t co sleep for months cos I was so jumpy but I actually sleep better with him in with me.

For anyone who has a side car - do you find yourself laying awake, waiting for them to stir and crawl in with you? 🙈😂

@ivfbeenbusy haha, the hair twiddling! We are going through a stage where he has to hold on to both of my ears?! 🤦‍♀️

@RedPandaFluff - I’m the same as you, would love to co-sleep with DD (18 mo) but she sleeps great by herself in her cot so it would just be for me really.
I tried to co-sleep a few times when she was a little baby and tried again recently for a few naps, but she just doesn’t settle until she’s in her cot.
