Nappy leaking overnight

Hi everyone

My 6.5 month old has recently started sleeping 6-6. However the last 2 nights she has done this, she has woken up with a wet baby grow. We use pampers, I was reading about pampers baby dry has anyone got any experience with these at night? Or any advice? I obviously don't want to wake her to change her, but when she used to wake up for a bottle in then night - 3amish she was fine then but I changed her anyway. So wondering if it's the last few hours she wees her heart out?

I don't want her being uncomfy wondered if anyone has any advice or if this has happened with any of your babies

Pampers are overrated. Used to be one of the leaking brands for us. We tried lots, and surprisingly tesco own was the most reliable ( the green superdry ones). Aldi also good Also maybe go up a size even if her weight isn't in the next category yet, we did so and that stopped leaking.

I’d try bigger sized nappies at night.

With brands I think it’s trial and error so Huggies and Aldi own brand worked ok but I t may be worth trying a few. You don’t want a leaked nappy waking you up!

Oooh that's interesting! Yeah you would think brands would be best wouldn't you! I guess not always. I will try going up a size and experimenting with different nappies. Thankyou looks like I'm off shopping this afternoon haha. Definitely don't want her uncomfortable and wet every morning. Thanks again 😊

Yes bigger sized nappies solved this for us. Also Sainsburys own brand are good.

Has she got a right vest on over the top? That can decrease the amount they can absorb. We used to have a bigger one on overnight, often the + (so he wore a 4 in the day and a 4+ at night).

Strange isn't it! She's on 3's now so maybe I need to try 4's. Would I just change the size for night or the day too? The 3's seem fine but obviously at night aren't containing her wee. No she's not wearing a vest atm just her baby grow with a 2.5 tog sleeping bag due to her room temp 😊

My twins were always in a size bigger than their weight indicated ( big bums? Big bladders? 😂) and once I sussed this out all was good. And defo price did not equal efficiency in my nappy experience. Worth looking at the cheaper supermarket ones.

Where I’m at, there’s a “premium” pampers and a regular pampers (in a green bag?) and the regular pampers are garbage. I’m convinced they are made by a different manufacturer that just pays for the license to use the Pampers name.

I definitely rate pampers baby dry-not the pampers premium they were rubbish for the money and found that Aldi nappies leaked for both my two. I do only buy pampers baby dry on offer though.

Most nappies brands do a +size (poss not for size 3) and the + indicates greater absorbency rather than a bigger size so might be worth looking for the +size for night time.

Haha deffo big bum and bladder @Bubbletrouble43 😂😂 yeahh seems like that is the case! I'm definitely going to have a look down the nappy isle for alternatives!
@UsedUpUsername I will have a look into that! Can't say I've noticed so far as just make a beeline for the ones we usually get which I think are pampers premium need to check to pack to be sure tho. Thankyou 😊

@HiHoHiHoBackToSchoolWeGo yeah think I may have a look at the baby dry and see if they are any better! I will also look for the + sizes as not noticed that before either! I definitely need to do some investigating with nappies that's for sure! Thankyou 😊

I really rate the Rascal and Friends ones from Tesco. They were really absorbent for my toddler!

I thoroughly recommend going up a size, preferably to a + if you can.

I'd also echo what other posters have said about trying different brands. We use pampers premium or Lidl 4+ at night, Tesco always leak for us.

Thought I'd update this - pampers baby dry in a size up has stopped the leaks overnight! Thankyou for everyone's help 😊

Aldi far better than pampers, I only discovered this with #3 always used pampers before then. Try the next size nappy up at night, it works a treat x
