Hi

I have a 6 month old who is a very good sleeper so I’m not sure I should really be posting on here... but I need some advice about her cat naps! We have nailed bedtime and she will sleep 11-12 hours without a feed but she’s still on 4 naps a day and they are between 30-40mins. She occasionally does a long nap and last weekend did 3 days in a row where her morning nap was 1.5 hours! I guess I’m just looking for some more predictability to the day that’s all. She’s awake 2 hours between naps and I get her up at 7am every day (she wakes at 6-630 but it happy to stay in her cot until I get her!) and I put her down awake for each nap in her cot and she will go to sleep herself. Do I just need to be patient and wait for the cat naps to stop? And how will I know to drop her to 3 naps? (I did when she took longer naps in the morning but went back to 4 when they were short again!) I know I shouldn’t ask such questions as she sleeps very well on the whole it’s just hard to get some things done at times during the day that’s all!

I totally get you- I’ve done EVERYTHING suggested and I’m convinced she’ll just start doing it when she’s ready.

I really understand as well, it sounds minor but longer and more consistent naps would improve my life immeasurably!

I think it would just help with planning the day a bit better that’s all and getting out despite a pandemic. I think I just need to be patient but never done this before!
