Moving baby into own room(6 Posts)
@FATEdestiny hi no she was in a next to me firstly then got big so we put a travel cot up in our room slept fine in that too.
We have never co slept I've always been quite strict with that haha! I just don't know why she can nap in there fine but it's like she's struggling to settle herself back down and waking up earlier than usual. So weird!
Was/is she cosleeping in your room? Or in a cot in your room?
If she was cosleeping in your bed, I would suggest the first stage should be in a cot bit in your room (next to your bed) before moving the cot to own room.
So she did the same thing last night too! But settles straight away when back in our room. Does she realise she's on her own? She settles down fine at 7 sleeps til 12/1 then can't settle again. Usually in our room she will sleep til 3 and then had bottle and straight back down til 7/8. Could she not be ready? Do we keep trying? Should I sleep on her floor? Any more advice mums netters?
Maybe too much too soon with teething too. You could try calpol next time? If that doesn't work I'd just take her into your room at midnight wake-up for a bit longer tbh. 6 months is the earliest you can move them, you don't have to.
My baby has just turned 6 months I've been having her take naps in her room, playing In there etc for the last few weeks in preparation to move her. She naps great in there no problems! We then decided for a few days whenever she woke for her bottle after that we would then put her in her own room to get her even more familiar. This went really well and she slept really good! So last night we went for it and it her in there. She went down at 7 no problems she then became really unsettled around 12 and it's like she couldn't get back to sleep! Gave her a bottle like normal and she still could not settle she was up 12-3.30 when we gave up she then started screaming (I believe maybe teething/so tired by this point) gave her some teething stuff and put her back in our room. She went to sleep straight away til 7.30. Do you think this is coincidence or is this down to her being in her own room? Can she sense I'm not there? I'm confused Cos she's been doing so well and I feel like we've prepped her well!
Any advice welcome thanks
