1 nap transition hell

@JoJoSM2 At the moment it depends on the night we’ve had. Yesterday he only lasted until 11.15 with my MIL and had an accidental buggy nap for 30 mins. She then put him to bed later on in the afternoon but he still only managed a total of 1h40m for the whole day which I don’t feel is enough based on how his nights are at the mo.

What time can he last until in the morning?

Lunch at 11.30, nap at 12.15. This is what nurseries do for children of this age. With luck he’ll do 1-2 hours then.

15mo DS had been resisting afternoon nap for weeks so we’ve been trying to move him to one longer nap. Some days he does great but most he can’t last until midday, even though we’ve been moving him gradually in 30 min increments every few days. So some days he ends up having 2 naps. Our issue is overnight. He’s gone from sleeping through to being up for hours at a time and we’re all exhausted and in that perpetual overtired cycle, even when he has an early night. I’m stuck about what to do; do we go back to two naps, even though it was a battle to get him to take both or stay strong with one and ride through the transition?
