How long did four month sleep regression last?

Baby is 14 weeks old and we're three nights in to what I'm assuming to be four month sleep regression (gone from being the most amazing sleeper doing 6-6 and now still goes down beautifully but wakes repeatedly from 11pm onwards) he's not waking up crying or distressed or wanting milk, he's just wide awake and chatting to himself and doing his new favourite trick of kicking his next2me crib like thumper so it sounds like a trampoline in the bedroom! Sometimes he will settle again by me putting the dummy in or playing Ewan but particularly the later/early morning wakings usually involve me lifting him out for a cuddle which makes him fall asleep within minutes (don't know if I'm doing the right thing here but otherwise I think he'd genuinely be awake for the rest of the night!)
Anyway I've deviated a bit here! What I'm asking is how long did the regression last for your baby? I know I'm only three nights in but I'm absolutely shattered after getting used to sleeping again! For those of you who've been through it, was there anything you particularly did or is it just a case of riding it out for as long as it takes?

About 3 years - DS3 is 3.5 and still doesn’t regularly sleep through.

DS 1 slept through again at 2.5 and DS2 at about 14 months .

For all 3 of mine it was a permanent change in their sleeping rather than a regression per se. I would hunker down until 2023...

And yes, cuddle him to sleep. He’s tiny and you all just need to sleep.

This isn't what the OP wants to hear but I also found that the changes were longer term than I was led to believe....

If he's not upset, then try not picking him up. He may eventually go back off to sleep or maybe he'll need some help. At the moment, cuddling back to sleep is working. What about cuddling then putting back down awake?

Thanks for the honesty, looks like I'm investing in some good eye cream for the bags! Although I'll take the multiple wake ups for the gorgeous smiley giggling face that greeted me this morning! Smile

I'd never heard of it until I came on here.

About 4 months. We sleep trained after that, and she started sleeping 12 h blocks.

About six weeks - we were lucky! And trying very hard not to think about the ones still to come...

Never heard of it. Mine slept through from seven months (or from about 10 until 5). I didn't notice they were particularly disturbed at four months.

DD is 5 1/2 months and we’re still living it
