I have a 5.5 month old daughter who is waking up every 2-3 hours at night. I've worked hard to remove the breastfeeding sleep association and she is now able to sooth herself to sleep without any assistance, both for naps and bed time. This is our usual day: She wakes up between 7-8AM and has a 1 hour nap around 90-120 minutes after waking up. Then she has a longer nap at lunchtime (between 12.30 and 1.30 for 2-3 hours) and then sometimes a shorter nap at around 5pm (30-45 minutes). We start the sleep time routine of feed, bath, song/dance and story at 7pm and by 7.30-7.45pm she's asleep in her cot. All the naps (except the last one, usually in the buggy) and sleep time are in her cot. We live in a 1-bed flat so her cot is in our room. She then usually wakes up between 10-11pm and then every 2 hours after that. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong (if anything), or if this could mean that she needs more food during the day? I breastfeed her and she always has a feed when she wakes up from her naps/in the morning. I only feed to sleep when she wakes up at night (11pm and every time after that). I thought that as she was able to self sooth she may be better at linking sleep cycles? Does anyone have any advice? If anyone could please help I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
