Never know for certain but see how he does maybe, lunch c 12pm and then a 2-3hr nap afterwards?
Otherwise could just be a growth spurt, teething etc.

Do you think he'll be OK with 1 nap throughout the day?

Sometimes offer him bottle but it tends to make no difference, sometimes eveb makes it worse

My advice is cut the morning nap and push for an earlier longer nap post lunch.
If he’s drinking the water and still waking, maybe offer a bottle of milk, could be hungry / growth spurt etc

He will nap for an hour in the morning around 9-10 and then he will nap again at 2pm for around 1.5 hours.

He is usually in bed by 7. I start bedtime routine at 6.15 where he has his bottle then and then is usually asleep between 6.30-7. Depends on how tired he is.

I bottlefeed and tend to not offer a bottle unless he seems hungry but I do give him some water. Could this be the issue?

Maybe “bedtime” is set too early?

You aren’t doing anything wrong. Could be a number of things:
What times bed
How many / how long day naps?
Does he require a feed when he wakes up?- do you bf or bottle if so
Also...1 yr olds have a lot more will than 6 months old, it will take longer to train

We sleep trained DS at 6 months and it worked very well, got him into the habit of going asleep by himself and he slept and napped really well.

Due to teething/illness/COVID we started to let it go a bit. Out of exhaustion we ended up putting him in the bed when he would wake at night and not go back asleep.

Hes turning 1 soon so and I started sleep training again about a week and a half ago. Got him to fall asleep in the cot every night and he was sleeping for longer, feeds and sleeps at the same time each day and consistent bedtime routine. But each night seems to be getting worse? 1st night he slept for 7 hours before waking, 2nd night 5 hrs, 3rd night 4 hrs and so on. we're over a week in and he's starting to wake again at 10 and refuses to go back asleep in the cot without us either touching him or being in the room.

I'm so exhausted at this point and feel hard done by that my efforts of hanging over a cot for 45 mins each night isn't paying off. We've been doing exact same bedtime routine each night so I'm confused.
