Sleepyhead weaning off

Any tips? I tried for a nap and it was a very hard pass from my 6mo daughter. She point blank refused to sleep and became extremely upset. Feeding to sleep didn't work, nor did rocking to calm her. I was washing the cover so the only way to get her to nap was to use the outer cushion around her with a large muslin over the top, but she pulled the muslin off, so would prefer not to do that if I can avoid it.

She's six months now, and is starting to look a bit squished. Plus I want to move her into her own room soon, and would prefer to get her in her cot properly for that move.

I don't want to buy the bigger one if I can avoid it, partly because of the expense but also because I worry about safety when I'm not going to be in the room with her.

Try taking the edge pillow out (if that makes sense) and put under a sheet and move it out from your daughter more each night. Or you can do the same with a pool noodle

@jpeg32 a pool noodle is a good idea! I wondered about getting big cot bumpers, in case that has the same effect, but worried about breathability.

I'm just worried about safety with the pillow outer under a sheet. Do you think if I did that for her naps, but kept her in the full pillow at night, I'd ever break the cycle?

I'm not sure, that's how we did it with my son at 6 months too but this time with my daughter I went cold turkey at 4 months, her sleep is hideous with or without it!
