Snuzpod mattress woes

Hello,
Dd HATES her Snuzpod (we've tried hot water bottle in there, putting her in asleep, awake, having it attached to the bed and separate) and DH and I have reached the conclusion that the mattress is just hard and uncomfortable. She sleeps brilliantly in the bed next to me, no pillows, duvet etc obviously and I'm only comfortable doing this when I'm awake in the daylight for morning naps but lying beside her. Our mattress is a firm one but comfier than the Snuzpod mattress... the more I think of it, it feels like layers of cardboard. I wouldn't sleep well on it either!
Has anyone experienced the same thing with the Snuzpod? Any recommendations on buying a different mattress that was better? I don't want to take a punt only to find it's still uncomfortable (and I'm exhausted)🙁

You can get a mattress topper for it, we had one for our Next2Me that softened it a bit, but the mattresses are meant to be firm for SIDs reasons. It may not be the mattress but just that she's even closer to you?

It is hard but dd thankfully was ok. Such a risk to buy it as I knew there were no guarantees - none of my dc would sleep in a Moses basket for eg. And it’s ££.

Not sure what you can do maybe email them
