Early morning waking

Hello everyone

I really need some advice as I feel like I’m going mad!

My daughter is almost 18 months old and has always been ok with sleep with a few bad patches which I’ve put down to sleep regressions and teething!

She’s always been an early riser (6am) but recently she’s been awake at 5am like clock work and it’s just too early.

She sleeps for 1.5 hours over lunchtime each day and is normally asleep by 7pm. I questioned whether to make her bedtime later but she’s so tired by then I think I’d be causing myself more problems! She has her favourite cudderly toy for comfort, eats a good tea and has blackout blinds in her room. I’m at a loss at what else to do, can anyone help? Should I let her sleep for longer in the day? She used to do two hours a few months ago but then was waking really early so I cut it back to 1.5 hours. Can anyone help? 5am is just too early 😴

She also goes to a childminder whilst I work two days a week and sleeps there in the day. She’s very happy with the childminder and has been for the last 4/5 months she’s been going but could the sleep there in a different bed be causing the problem?

Thank you in advance!

I was going to post something very similar today. My DD is almost 3 and has always woken up around 7am but for the last couple of weeks it has been 6am on the dot. She doesn't have a sleep in the day any more (gave it up around Christmas) so she is getting very tired by her bedtime at 7.15pm. I have wondered if something outside is waking her but it seems strange that it's always at exactly 6am. So I am no help but you are not alone!
